As an FYI -- everyone see Durant's quote about Westbrook's game one performance? ‘Russell Westbrook will not go 3-for-15 again,’ Durant said. ‘You can quote me on that.’”
OK Kevin, we will quote you on that. When I was looking over the games these two squads previously played, something crazy jumped out to me -- Russell Westbrook has played terrible in all 4 games so far this year. Look at his shooting performances:
5/17/11: 3-15 FG, 14-18 FT, 3 boards, 3 assists, 20 points
1/6/11: 5-16 FG, 5-6 FT, 5 boards, 9 assists, 15 points
12/27/10: 5-15 FG, 5-6 FT, 3 boards, 7 assists, 15 points
11/24/10: 4-13 FG, 5-6 FT, 3 boards, 10 assists, 13 points
Those are horrid shooting numbers. I think KD is partially right -- Westbrook probably won't go 3-15 again.... but let's not kid ourselves and think that history tells us that he is going to kill it against this squad.
