I heard from some of my boys in LA that Gasol's girlfriend cheated on him then broke up with him right at the end of the NO/LA series. Maybe that is why he was playing more like a bitch then usual.He was getting killed out there and was a big part why the Lakers lost that series. Still have not confirmed this yet but they have no reason to lie to me.

I completely agree that the Mavs are the better team that wanted it more and presented a matchup nightmare. 

However, I also believe that something was going on with the Lakers.  They looked and played like a bunch of pussies with no heart at all.  Their effort was an absolute embarrassment.  That team should be ashamed of themselves.

I also heard this story on the local sports talk radio in Austin.  No idea if it is true but if it is true than Pau should be traded immediately.  There is no excuse to play so heartless and like such a box in the playoffs.  I would think that that kind of shit could and will never be forgotten by his teammates.

 dang some of u guys r soo hateful towards people, remember God will judge u, now Gaol didn't play well but he is 1 of the main reasons y they won the title 2 years in a row before that remember this team didn't get out of the 1st rd

jfly -- This is why I think that his performance against the Mavs is so shocking.  He is great and a huge reason they won two straight.  But against the Mavs it looked like he was playing half assed and did not care.  Regardless of how great you are or whatever stuff was going on it appeared that he kind of quit on the team which is

Pau Gasol and his girlfriend broke up, and rumor has it was aided by Vanessa Bryant.

Apparently the aftermath led to Gasol and Kobe not talking.

I have no idea how much any of this is true, but it's being reported.

Hmmmm.. So this has a good chance of being true. I heard this over a week ago but didnt think much about it. Never heard any reports just from a couple of my friends that pretty much know everything that goes down in LA.  Now people are reporting on it. Wonder how Kobe's bitch got involved. Time for a reality show.

ok i was a pro athlete, u can believe me or not if u want , but i tell u 1 thing i learned my lesson at 19 u don't  bring your girl around the events especially all the time too much drama , the male ego and female ego, whenever there r females around even if there ugly guys want too get there attention and th ey will try too hit on them and  either 1 of 2 things can happen they can cheat or there can be drama with your girl telling u there hitting on her , or u get the cackling hens gossiping , it usally   spells trouble , so there guys would be smart to leave there wives or girlfriends at home , but the problem is evryone wants to be a show off
