You are very mistaken about angles, trends and systems being a joke.  They are a piece of a puzzle that can be used to cap games.  I agree if you rely just on them, YES they will lose you money.

Similarly, if a team beats the Celtics in Boston, the Knicks “pick them up” by playing significantly above the linesmakers expectations. This “agreement” has been going on for quite some time.

first found out about this angle back in '05 here at Covers.  I believe it failed last year but overall it was hitting at around 85%+ so I wouldn't say the angle is BS.  Main thing is not to rely on it solely, especially when you're down and need one game to get it all back.
