What does he owe the city of Cleveland? The answer: NOT A FUCKIN THING. Nobody on this earth owes a lifetime commitment to a "job". Thats bullshit.

Cleveland sucks balls. Try and argue that. The last good team that Cleveland Ohio produced had Charlie Sheen as a relief pitcher.

Lets examine the simple facts:

1) LB is one of a select few people who have the ability to interview their employer instead of vice versa...

2) Miami vs Cleveland.....get fuckin real

3) Bosh/Wade/Riley vs Mo Williams/Jamison/Scott ....not really close imo....

Bottomline..... LB made the best decision he could. Everybody else just needs to worry about their own life. Cleveland is a shithole. Always was, always will be. The Cleveland owner is a bitter tard who doesnt have to ammunition to make people want to come to cleveland.

Also, LB will never be on the same level as Kobe or MJ.....not even close. He chokes and he whines.

I think the big problem people have was with how he did it. heat executive Alonzo Mourning said that had a good idea how this was going to play out after the initial meeting. The whole ESPN thing and it coming down to the wire was a farce.

All he had to say was I choose miami b/c of the uncertainity in Clevand with the coach and GM just being replaced. End of story.

Also Train69, Miami was the perfect place for him for 2 reasons:

1) He's 25, rich, famous, and single. Obvious.

2) He always felt deep down that the Cleveland ownership never went the extra mile from him. They got jamison and Shaq as last ditch efforts to prove that they wanted to help him.

Once things got tough for LBJ, he felt outnumbered and sulked. Happened in 09 vs. the Magic and this year vs. the Celtics. He gave in, he gave up. No argument if you watch those series. He stopped shooting. Maybe he will grow into the Kobe/Jordan "no one is going to stop me" attitude, but now he doesn't have to. 

And now I just read that Riley worked out sign-and-trades for both Bosh and James, freeing cap space to re-sign Haslem and sign Mike Miller for 5 years/$30 million.

Now 8 veterens, including Derek Fisher, Big Z, jason Williams, Mike james, have asked to meet with Riley and are willing to play for the veteren minimum.

I hate how James handled it but get some satisfication than Kobe's reign ends.

Boston--as far as being single...are you aware LBJ has been with the same sweetheart since high school and fathered 2 children with her?  And are you aware of the handful of players the Cavs tried to land that LBJ refused to play with?
Agree...Lebron owes nobody a thing.  He just turned alot of Kobe haters into Kobe fans.  And proved that he can't do on his own what MJ, Kobe, Magic, and Bird did, and maybe beyond that, he knows it.  He'll forever be a Robin on Batman's team.

This has NOTHING to do with the fact that he left Cleveland to better his career, the main issue at hand is the Ridiculous way he went about revealing his choice.

train - I live in Cleveland and we are pissed because of the way he made his announcement.  LBJ didn't have the balls to inform Cavs management.  He had one of his gravytrainers call at the start of the Lebron-a-thon.  The fact that his destination was already determined weeks and possibly years in advance, the fact that he left the Cavs hanging until the last minute without any opportunity to improve.  The Cavs gave LBJ, his family and thug friends special privileges even hiring and paying a couple of his lackey's full time jobs making more than assistant coaches.  For all that he puts together his own reality show to hold himself i higher regard than the rest of the free agents who humbly signed and than announced via a press release. 

LBJ is full of himself.  Has been for a long time.  Unless he changes his self promoting actions he and D. Wade will butt heads along the line.  D. Wade is clutch and LBJ wants to be.  It will be interesting. 

Dude. everybody does act differently.  In the history of sports has any athlete felt he is that important (Bigger than the league itself) to have his own TV show to announce his decision?  NO not ever.  The only player that comes close to LBJ is Favre with the games he plays year in year out.  But even Favre doesn't have the arrogance to drag Jim Gray on stage to answer the question Are you playing next season?

Agree Kobe sucked in Game 7.  He was the 1st to admit it.  Fact of the matter though...he got the ring.  Teammates pulled him thru.  How many other rings does Kobe have?  Teammates carried his ass in those too I suppose??
Lebron hasn't done it at all.  Hasn't put himself in the position for his teammates to bail him.  Hasn't gotten that far.  Maybe he shouldn't have used a sore shoulder as an excuse to quit against Boston?  Don't get me wrong, LBJ is a freak of nature and a helluva basketball player.  Just not a winner.  He's proven that.  He had 7 years and produced no ring.  Thats a fact.  As mentioned elsewhere here, he nixed playing with certain attainable teammates.  More worried about keeping his 20 Akron buddies on the Cavs payroll for doing whatever Akron buddies do.  One thing they don't do...win NBA Championships.  Unless they can ride someone else's coattails.
