CLEVELAND CAVALIERS - 1.0 (-110) - - - Battle of the titans tonight. 2 of the best overall players in the league go at it. Jay-Z stated in his latest song Empire State Of Mind "If Jesus payin Lebron I'm payin Dwayne Wade" Well, your boy Mak doesn't give a flying fuck who Jay Z is paying cause I am paying the King tonight. First off the back to back situation is a write off tonight. The Cavs were very fortunate to have a 4 day layoff before their Orlando game. Unreal in the NBA for a team of that caliber to have 4 days off to rest, practice and fine tune their game so early in the season. Team was quoted as saying it felt like all-star break. It was evident against Orlando they were ready. Tonight the new off season acquisitions of the Cavs will come into play. Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon and Shaq are three players that MIA has not dealt with in the CLE rotation. Last year the Cavs edged the Heat in the season series. D Wade always went off but the defense of Anthony Parker may not contain him, but will cause him more trouble then usual. Shaq only played 19 minutes against ORL and after 4 days rest + limited minutes he will be very fresh and I suspect him to have a huge game against a very weak MIA frontcourt. The implementation of J.J Hickson into the starting 5 is an intelligent move by Mike Brown. It gives this young 2nd year player relevance and confidence. It also creates a hell of a backup big men duo off the bench in V and Z. V and Z are two huge men who will dominate against a team who doesn't even play a legit center. Granted I am the first to admit I was wrong about the Heat, they are better then I thought. They are tops in the league in defense at the moment and at 6-1 a lot of people including vegas are high on this team. I on the other hand think they are the most overrated eastern conference team right now. I do not think they start the season 7-1, I do not think the are consistently successful all season and I just do not think D Wade can do it alone. Cavs smack some sense into the Heat tonight.
