#1 Posted: 11/10/2009 3:11:19 PM I am not too familiar with NBA capping but I have noticed one common thing the past (2) years sifting through the Covers forums. It's very hard to find many people with winning records for a NBA season compared to MLB or NFL? Is this a Myth and am I imagining this? |

#4 Posted: 11/10/2009 5:36:59 PM I find the NBA the best bet for me. I feel the reason for success is that I am able to read when teams will be flat. |

#7 Posted: 11/10/2009 5:51:52 PM Its probably because the players don't play hard the whole game. They loligag up and down the court throwin up rediculous shots to please the crowd. It's a complete joke if you ask me. They try in the playoffs, ill give them that, but thats seriously about it. I compare the NBA to a high flying circus act. Not a sport. A Circus Act. |

#10 Posted: 11/10/2009 6:02:48 PM Fading teams at the end of long, losing road trips, having chemistry issues, and good teams playing lousy teams on the road. These are the things I focus on.

#11 Posted: 11/10/2009 6:07:19 PM In no other sport does money mean as much. These guys get jaded real easily. The other thing I dont like about NBA players is that there is no risk of the opponent taking your head off thus it's easy to slack some nights. Do that in football or baseball and you may lose a limb or get drilled in the head.

#12 Posted: 11/10/2009 6:10:03 PM Done ok, but betting the over/under here is more nerve wracking than in football. |

#13 Posted: 11/10/2009 6:24:01 PM I like playing the NBA....the old argument that these guys dont play hard is so stupid. These are the best athletes in the world. When you take a night off in the NBA you get roasted...no doubt in a 82 game season there are some flat spots but I am always amazed when a college fan says NBA guys dont play hard yet when their guy makes the NBA he cant get off the bench. This game is plyed at a whole different level then the college game. People that watch the game closely understand this....Beasley and Durant are great players but it takes a while to dominate in the NBA. |

#14 Posted: 11/10/2009 6:32:35 PM Beasley is very avg. Durant is a star. The game has changed, if you are good you will probably be good to start. Rose, Durant, Jennings, and Mayo are all one and doners who have thrived to start. Oden has been injured so he gets a pass. Beasley is the poster child of get paid dont care! |
