Hey guys! Welcome again in my thread as we kick-off the first day of the NBA Regular Season. Let's aim for a couple of nice run like we did in the Playoff. As usual, you'll only find one play a day in my thread. It'd be rare if you find two (i guess if you do see two fade them both, lol). For now here's what I have:
King James -4.5
No way in hell would a 39-2 (actually would do be 40-1 if they took the last home game against Philly seriously) let up on their first day. They've given the Celts trouble on the road and I don't see anything changing. With Big Z and the Diesel playing tower for the King, it'd be crazy to not think that they've improve in that spot. Celts got Sheed relieving the 4 or 5 position but I don't see him meshing well yet with the rest of the team. Rondo has been a surprise last season with KG sidelined during the Playoff but MoWill has been stellar himself. Bottom line here is that LeBron James won't let the Celts win here. Cavs to go 35+ or better wins at home again and they'll start this one with a win over the Celts.
BOL.

Might be poor reasoning but considering history is all we ever have to judge the future it's as sound an argument as any.
I think the Cavs D will continue to shut down opponents as they did last year and any waves from the Shaq deal will be felt in the middle of the season and I like the pick.
