This is almost a pick, with the slight edge given to MIL because of its good ATS record. As faves of between 1 to 4.5pts, MIL is 5-1 ATS, while WAS is 2-4 ATS in the same category. Bogut is back. Antawn Jamison's banged-up knee is still hurting, he says. Wiz top scorer is playing through pain, then--very nice! This will be a close game, with both teams' losses still fresh in their minds, but if there's one team that's got enough self respect to tighten up their ship, it's MIL in this case.
OKC +7
I think this spread reflects the perennially lousy public image of the OKC as the NBA's worst team. Just about no one pays attention to the fact that they're one of the top 5 ATS teams this season. With Yi Jianlian and Devin Harris out, Vince Carter will have his hands full trying to pace the Nets offense and getting his own points. I see an OKC SU win. Plus 7 is also a reassuring lead vs the ailing Nets in case of a last-minute OKC letdown.
NOH -12.5
NY is just overpowered at every spot. The Knicks' most consistent scorer the past 5 games? David Lee. Fine, NOH's got Peja. You might argue that NOH's got a thin bench, but here's the great equalizer: NY is playing its 4th game in 6 days. One last thing: NOH is the league's 3rd stingiest defense, allowing only 92.2 pts vs opponents, while NY is the league's 3rd worst, allowing opponents 106.7ppg. 'Nuff said.
