Mak's Wide Wednesday Slate

Huge slate a games, got a lot of bets on a lot of games.  So far staying away from CHI@CLE and away from POR@UTA.  The rest I am playing, there are a few games that are off the board currently.  May decide to play them once they show later.  May decide to leave it since I got enough bets already, but if anything comes out at me I will add them close to 6PM tonight.  BOL fellas, thanks for the support and posts.  Gotta a nice night of league pass surfing tonight, can't wait.

PHX@IND OVER 201.5 - - - Really low line considering these are the two fastest teams in the league.  Should be way over.  New season we can take advantage of this one.  Should be an easy over.  IND has managed to score close to 100 and 95 a game vs two of the best defensive teams Boston and Detroit.  This team has yet to show their offensive aptitude.  With T.J Ford running the show this team will run along with the best in the business PHX.  Both teams hit the century mark for sure.  My largest O/U of the season.
4.5 UNITS - - -

PHX SUNS - 3.0 - - -  I understand most will think trap this and trap that but again, IND is a good team.  Guys like Granger, Ford, Jack, Daniels, Murphy and others make this team a dangerous one especially at conseco field house in IND.  Despite that it looks like Suns are one of the best teams in the league.  Shaq looks like he is healthy and poised to make a lot of doubters shut up.  Barbossa finally came through last night, Raja Bell looks like he is the best 3 point shot in the NBA (besides my boy Cool Kat Kapono of course)  Did I mention Amare and Grant Hill?  This team is stacked, granted IND won against Boston but I think it was more Bostons fault.  I see the Suns with a single digit victory.
4.5 UNITS - - -

BOSTON CELTICS - 8.5 - - - OKC did surprise me in their last game, they played a hell of a game for a young squad.  But the Champs are gonna eat em alive.  Champs get back to their regular ways as they begin an ATS cover streak,  I feel it.  Here come the Champs, all dressed in green.

MEMPHIS GRIZZLES + 3.5 - - - Ok I am an official beleiver in this team.  I actually thought they had a tremendous amount of young talent but did not think they could amount to a team that could take on big guns.  I was wrong, and because of one reason...Marc Gasol.  People always under-estimate the impact a big man can have on a team.  Marc Gasol is offensively tuned, he has a sweet stroke and thus creates a huge defensive problem.  Can't double cause well...he's Marc Gasol...if they do double you got Lowry, Conley, Mayo and other ready to take the shot.  I like the MEM team and think Sacto sucks.  Cali will be good to Sacto as they won't get blown out, but they will still loose.

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS + 5 - - - Not a believer in Dantoni's Knicks.  I don't think coach realizes that this ain't the Suns.  You can't shoot 27 times from 3 point range and hit 7.  You will loose everytime.  Ridiculous.  Q Rich in my opinion is their best shooter which is so very sad.  Dantoni must switch up this style but I doubt he will.  Don't sleep on the Cats just yet, everyone has hated on them and they have not come through on my wagers on them.  However I still believe in this team and the system Larry Brown will ultimately implement.
CATS 2.5 UNITS - - -

SA SPURS -3.5 - - - Ok that is it, this will be my last time betting on the Spurs until after the All-Star break if they loose.  I just can't stop backing these basterds because TD and TP and two of my fave players.  I think they can carry this team to a victory over Minny despite Minny playing well as of late.  Big man battle with Big Al and Timmy should be fun to watch.

LA CLIPPERS + 15 - - - Can't believe I am picking the Clipps...why oh why am I picking the Clipps....can Camby prevent a blowout?  I doubt it but got a gut feel a backdoor cover may come into play.

ADDING TWO OVER/UNDERS

BOS@OKC UNDER 181.5 - - - Boston won't allow these youngins to get over 80 points.  I see the Champs around the high 90's.

CHA@NY UNDER 204 - - - Yea they can score and don't play defense but CHA does play D.  I think NY will struggle with the shot and system again on Wednesday.

makaveli23, any concerns over the fact that the Bricks will be SKY HIGH to try and bury the team that's coming in coached by the hated Larry Brown?

Guys, you should be done with the Spurs already.  It's hard to tell just yet how far they've fallen.  I think they're still plummeting.

with you on phx and mem. ..

the problem with the spurs is that they havnt changed. look at LA, BOS, PHX and all the other great teams that change their style and players to achieve success.. all the spurs do are scout for players and barely use them. They just stick with their main 3. .. I have nothing against them, im just saying that most of the league knows how the spurs play together, especially their main 3 players. they need to change it up if they wanna win. as far as i know, go against the spurs till ginobili comes back.

I honestly do not understand the question bro, must have read your post like 6 times yet I can't understand.  What do you mean? I do suspect the bricks will be sky high for both teams that is why I am on the under.  But I think NY will put up more bricks then Cats.

That is actually pretty funny, I gotta use that sometime.  I do think you are not giving Marcus Camby the credit he deserves.  He was defensive player of the league just a few seasons back and he has the ability to make this Clipps ball club better.  The reason I stated is he enough is because LAL played LAC I believe it was the home opener and they were blown out.  BD was healthy and they still got creamed.  You will see I plan to take LAL on teasers pretty hard.  Just placed a small bet on LAC from my gut.

You make an excellent point, but the fact of the matter is one decent move bringing in a pure scorer would turn this ball club around.  I mean anyone who can put the ball in the bucket will help this team, I still think they can at least take a decent yet young and inexperienced Minny team at home after a tough loss to the Mavs.

Ahhhhhhhh now I understand.  Duh. My bad, you are asking if I think the fact that Larry Brown and his tenuous stay in NY will affect the outcome of the game.  I don't think so, granted he will get some boos from the crowd but once the game starts those Knicks are not going to be inclined to play harder just to defeat Larry.  Remember, it was not the players who didn't like Larry, it was the suits and Larry who parted on negative terms.  Won't make a lick of a difference, I would actually think the Cats who have grown close to Larry (Captian Gerald, Raymon & Jason) will be pumped to beat the knicks for their new coach.

I totally agree with you in this spot Bator. I was at the opening game and the Knicks still have a lot of work to do. I hope they  had this game circled since Larry Brown was hired by the Cats. Will they be fired up?? I think so, because if not they should donate their checks to a charity of their choice.

hey mak, I like the suns and the suns over as well.  However I'm on the other side of memphis/sac, sacramento is at home for the first time, coming off a horrible start on the east coast.  They will redeem themselves tonight.  Memphis has lost both road games so far this season by 10 and 11 pts...to chicago and houston.  The kings have some good players on their squad and are just being underestimated here.  Good spot for the kings.  Good luck my friend

Yo Mak, with you on Phoenix, Memphis and Boston....I think Indiana is just another team who got a little too famous for that win against Boston. One win against an elite team makes not a good team....I see the Phoenix frontline slaughtering Indy's tonight. I just don't buy the whole Sac at home thing....they're simply just a bad team, being at home won't make a difference. The same thing goes for Boston, which should cover easily against the Thunder. BOL to all as always

GL mak - staying away from most of those, but like Bos & the Indy over in teasers.
 
So far, leaning to Philly ATS & Det, Utah, LAL, Bos, Philly & the Indy/Phx over in teasers.
