Hey.. haven't been to Vegas in a couple of years but goin this weekend. I remember Bellagio being the only sportsbook that I went to that gave out free drinks for watchin the games no matter how much ya bet.. The Wynn wanted $300 in wagers for a free drink ticket. Does the Bellagio still offer that or even some other sportsbooks? Any input would be appreciated.. thanks!

Every book is different but it never hurts to tip the ticket writer a couple bucks or make a bet for them..Have them recognize you a couple times in a good way and you should be all set.

only sportsbook I know that gives drinks just by showing a bet ticket to a cocktail waitress is LV Superbook @ the Westgate Las Vegas (former Hilton). all the rest either do NOT comp drinks IF they have either Cantor Gaming or William Hill US as their sportsbook OR give drink tickets if you bet enough IF they have their own in house operation.

by and large the Strip casinos are pretty tight with their drink comps. the "locals" places by and large more liberal. loosest I know in giving out drink tickets is South Point which is also an excellent place to watch football on the weekends

El Cortez is good with the drink tickets at the book. If you are betting 100 or more they'll us usually give you 2 or 3.

LeRInk is right. South Point gives out tickets. Tip them a few bucks on your winners and you will be set for a couple days. And their sports book is great to watch the games....

The days of free drinks if the book are over with unfortunately.  You need tickets and the amount you get varies widely by casino AND by the ticket agent.

You can get free drinks easily. The trick is to sit at the cheapest slots near the sportsbook. Deposit $20, and play one spin. Usually waitress will come by. Tip her before $1 and ask her to bring you a drink. When she comes back tip her again and ask for one more. Once you have your two drinks within 5-10 min proceed to sportsbook! Just don't forget to cash out your slot and pick up your money on your way out.

1. 2 drinks in 10 min for 2 bucks.
2. Chance to win a jackpot

Thanks for the info guys!! Just got back from Vegas yesterday.. and you guys were right! I was in a pool tourney so they put us up at the Stratosphere.. we stayed there in 2011 and 2012 for pool as well! In those years whenever I tipped the ticket writer they'd gimme a couple drink tickets.. nothing this year.. Lol! So I guess if they don't even give them out at the Strat.. there's no chance getting them anywhere else! Can't wait to go back to Vegas.. on a side note.. can't believe how hot the girls were at the Cosmopolitan!! Pretty sure I'm gonna stay there whenever I go back!!

You're right about the Cosmo.  That is the "in" hotel with the millennials, so that is where you are going to find the hottest young chicks.

Where did you sit?  I've sat in the "Fan Cave" separate room they have built in the back of the book with the leather chairs and about 6 TVs, service was a little slow at times but I got free drinks the entire time I was sitting there

as a 23 yr old I LOVE the Cosmo and cannot stress that enough. and their great with their comped rooms

the sportsbook is nice if you like low key, very small, problem is they don't offer as many lines either…

but I stay there for everything else.

I find that hard to believe. Cosmo has a Cantor Gaming outsourced sportsbook. I have their online app and they offer more lines and props than just about anyone in Las Vegas. they may NOT be up on their board BUT they are probably available. just ask the writer or on duty manager

Its been a few years and I don't know if this is still accurate.  Both Caesars and Ballys would give a drink ticket for a $5 horse bet. I like playing the ponies when watching the games so I'd buy a racing form anyway. If ya wanna go cheap with little effort, just find short fields and put $5 to show on the favorite.  Worst thing that can happen is u paid $5 for a drink. Can anyone confirm if the $5 horse bet still gets you a drink ticket?

I was at the Bellagio in may of 2014 and if you tend to get rowdy during games don't go there! I had a large bet on the rangers vs penguins playoff game so I was obviously into it. I was yelling during the game and cursed a few times but nothing crazy. The sportsbook manager came running out of the back and made a bee line for me lol. He told me if I cursed again I would be kicked out. Rediculous its a sports book! I will never stay there again.

49er-Did you walk around the Bellagio and look at what is hanging on the walls? I'm surprised the book doesn't have a dress code.Go to a real sportsbook.

well here is the "bottom line" I am sure most Las Vegas locals that post on Covers will agree with. at sportsbooks outsourced to William-Hill OR Cantor Gaming (Like the Cosmo) FORGET ABOUT IT!!! NO free drink tickets UNLESS the casino is "bankrolling" it. I know they do NOT @ the M-Casino which is a Cantor Gaming sportsbook. local casino-hotels with their own in house sportsbook operations like Stations Casinos (Red Rock, Sunset and Green Valley Ranch) and South Point ALL will give comp drink tickets for bettors to varying degrees with South Point being the most liberal. also Westgate Superbook (former Hilton & LVS) switched over to a ticket system recently BUT they are also fairly liberal
