Tahoe...

My thought on that would be a fun restaurant that would have a big screen tv and be able to set up a table for 10. Obivously, you would have to guarantee a certain level of food/drink that your party would have and use a credit card, up front, to reserve that table.

Using NY-NY again, as an example, their Irish pub, Nine Fine Irishmen, has great pub food and a large screen tv set up for football. It's a 2-minute walk to the sportsbook. They might be open to taking a guaranteed reservation for that Sunday.

Next door, Monte Carlo has Diablo's and The Pub, which always shows the UFC pay-per-view fights..so they can also set up for groups and big screen tv's. I'm sure that every hotel will have a pub/restaurant that you can book a large table for the game.....just a matter of guaranteeing a level of business for the restaurant...and that's where your credit card comes in.

Since you are not VIP-level for a private party, the restaurant direction would be the way I would go. You have to eat and drink anyway, right?

Not sure about the legality behind it, but if they were smart, someone would make it into a "Legasse's Stadium" type of place with wagering available inside. I assume you have to step outside the front door to place wagers at the actual book (or lack there of).

They just installed a state-of-the-art betting kiosk on the first floor, in the restaurant area near the bar.....has all the bets that the sportsbook has, GREAT FOR HALFTIME BETS, and just cash your winning tickets at the sportsbook which is 20 feet out the main door....

A great place to watch the Superbowl is Centrifuge, a bar right next to the book at The MGM Grand.  I watched the Colts beat the Bears there.  It was a great call, and all it cost was a to spend like 200 bucks, which is what our party of 6 was going to do anyway!

Just a thought.

I always thought it was kind of weird that NYNY does not have a poker room.

I opened it up in 2001 and it was a great place to work untill I found out about the best kept secret in America (local gaming bar). I cant wait to try the new place out as I know they kept a lot of the managers I know and some bartenders. Nothing like free drinks and food while watching all the games.

  Just a local casino?

There is a Irish pub in NYNY that I go by to grab a quick brew whenever Im in town but no one seems to be eating only drinking. They serve authentic Irish fare and  was curious if the food was good? By good I mean would you go back if the chance arose.

Kid...Their Shephard's Pie is delicious, there is also an Irish soup that is amazing....decent happy hour prices on some items...

Interesting bit of trivia (because I know the beer distributor)...Nine Fine Irishmen pours more pints of Guiness than any pub in the WORLD!!!....really.

I watched one of the Stanley Cup games @ Blondies located in the mall @ Planet Hollywood. We had a group of 8 or 10 & it was a good time. There is some seating where you can watch games outside of the bar kind of in the mall - when you hoot & hollar the sound kind of reverberates / echoes. It was fun - especially if your team is up.
