Getting into the most important part of the season now. As explained before, its the top 8 teams regardless of conference that make the playoffs. As we stand, the top 8 looks like this.
1. Lynx
2. Sparks
3. Liberty
4. Dream
5. Sky
6. Fever
7. Mercury
8. Storm/Mystics
9. Sun
10. Wings
11. Stars
The number of playoff rounds has increased from 3-4 now.
Top 2 seeds (Lynx/Sparks) receive bye rounds to the semi-finals (don't need to play first 2 rounds). Third and fourth (Liberty and Dream) receive a bye round for the first round and don't need to play until the 2nd round.
The 1st and 2nd rounds are single elimination. So that means the Liberty and Dream even though they get a bye in the first round, could simply exit the playoffs if they don't show up in round 2.
First Round:
Team 5 hosts team 8 (Sky vs Storm/Mystics
Team 6 hosts team 7 (Fever vs Mercury
Second Round:
Team 3 hosts the lowest seed winner from round 1 (Liberty vs someone (either Fever/Mercury/Storm/Mystics)
Team 4 hosts the highest seed winner from round 1 (Dream vs someone (Could be Sky/Fever/Mercury.
Third Round:
The semi's go back to the tradition 5 game format for playoffs. Number 1 seed faces the lowest seeded winner from Round 2. The 2nd seed faces the remaining team.
Home teams will host games 1,2 and 5
WNBA Finals:
Another 5 game format, with the format being 2-2-1.

You have any lines up yet at SB?.....I haven't seen any.
Yeah I was a fan of the top 8 overall team advancing but not a fan of how easy the 3rd and 4th seed can finish their season after just 1 game. Seems pointless.
Still no lines up yet either Indigo with Sportsbet, might use my other book because they have WNBA and CFL lines up already mate

These girls were laying -6.5 the other day vs the Mystics. Now a 9 point swing from the Mystics to the Mercury? I don't think so. Fever are one of those team that show up for the big games and IMHO this is a big game seeing that they have the Liberty up next followed by Sparks in LA, Stars (a team they lost too before) and the Sky in back in Indy. Yes the Mercury have hit some form in the last 2 games but this is their first road game of the 2H of the season.
