Good point, Aussie. I think NOR will try to rebound after all the hurting they got on the road; just like the Pats. Where did you watch TNF, on the plane or in an airport lounge ?
USA, USA, USA ! Covered 20 points although it was not easy, and I got the HT hedge of France +30.5 too. 5d actually offers live betting on some of the FIBA WC games. And Orioles came back to win. Not a bad day all in all.
Hey Ax,
I was actually on the plane watching the game. I couldnt believe it. Good way to waste 3 hours on a 14 hour flight.
As for the Aussie/USA, i think the Aussie girls can match it with the US. They Aussies have been playing great. Not much vibe in Oz on the tv or anything because Basketball isn't really that big in Oz.

The line has now dropped to +17.5 for the Aussies in tomorrow's FIBA game. I really like our chances of covering. Yes the USA girls are great but the Aussies have 3-4 WNBA players as well, most notable is Phillips from the Mercury. We played USA in a friendly earlier this season and lost by 6.

Okay, here we go for my Week 5 Plays... Through Week 4, am hitting 62% on pre-game bets, at 18-11 (live bets an additional 4-3). Remember: this year is the Dawg (last year was exceptionally Fave year, which is always followed by Dogs hitting higher than usual).
GB -8.5 x 5 bags BUF +7 x 5 bags CHI + 3 x 10 bags STL + 7 x 5 bags* NO -10 x 5 bags ARI +7.5 x 5 bags CIN -1 x 5 bags WAS +7 x 10 bags**
Buffalo is a good team, one of the best defensively. EJ has been stuffing up so much they have to take him out, because the East is actually winnable (thanks to Belichik's failed personnel policy of no skill players, distrastrous WR draft picks and a ridiculous O-Line; see below for more). Orton is an upgrade in the sense of accuracy. A potential downgrade, though, because he only joined the team on Aug 30th. Detroit doesn't handle success well, and winning big here would make it 3 in a row. They probably win, but not by 7.
Chicago is my 10-bagger of the week (4-0 YTD). Better team, and getting 3 points! ($1.80, not $1.90, though) Even in their big loss last week (which I made $ on), they had 12 more 1st downs and 138 more yards!! Carolina is a dumpster-fire because of injuries, and Cam isn't a running threat because of his ankle. Feels like I'm stealing lunch money! ;-)
*I'm only getting 6.5 at the moment, which is different than I expected. Was 7, and I expected it to go higher. Will wait for more public money to (hopefully) come in and lift it to 7 again. I'll confirm what I get when I do so, but no bags on this one at the moment.
New Orleans (my 2nd fave team) is out of the SB running, sadly. But this line should be higher - it's low because of the beat down in Dallas and the back-up QB "miracle" in TB. Don't ever like to lay double-digits, but I've got bags on this puppy.
Arizona +7.5 (had been at 7)... Denver is good and getting better, but Arizona is a top team in the league, too. And very physical. Mile high may help, but > TD is value. Think Broncos win, but this will be by 7 or less.
Cinci... this one hurts, as the Pats, because of Brady, are my fave team. The hood has run them into the ground, finally. Brady can't bail them out of this hole any longer. It's literally the worse offensive team in the league at the moment, IF you take out Brady. No weapons beyond 15 yards, a sub-par Gronk, and an O-Line that is doing sh*t few others do (lost their most senior dude and its 30 year coach). They are on a progression plan, not a one-week turnaround plan. Not when they adjusted the wrong way after half time against KC, a much less talented team. Now they Cinci, at the very top of the AFC (SD is the other) talent-wise, coming in off a bye. 1 point? Gotta lay it.
Washington, classic over-reaction to the demolition v. the Giants. I lost 15 bags on that one, as I posted here. That was on me. :) They are top ten offensive yards and defensive yards allowed YTD in the league. Teams off >30 point losses cover 60% following week. Seattle covers 40% on the road the past 10 years. Wilson is like 9-8 on the road. Too many points. Oh, ** means I've actually locked only 5 at 7... am hoping to get a little more, but don't want to risk missing out (as with PHI). I'll put another 5 on 7 points if it stays there.

Be very careful on the SEA pick... i'm taking Was for a 2nd 10 bagger... will explain tomorrow when i post.
Love your Cin pic. Giants look good too.... i'd go jets tho. Desperate, more balanced attack... but the Geno factor, haha!
cheers eric,
the only real threat in the offense is RB Chris Ivory, their WR's are like lost sheep, decker is out and with no one else of any real value to go to, chargers defense I think can handle the JETS

morning guys Oregon State TT over 29.5 5 bags Oregon State -3 1H 5 bags Oregon State TT over 14.5 1H 5 bags over 10.5 1st qtr 5 bags over 53.5 5 bags you know I fade my Buffaloes and I think this is a good spot for the Beavers to get their mojo working. The Beavs are a good team off a loss and a good rd conference team this time of year. They bounce back well and should be motivated looking for their first conference win as they sit 0-1 and just watched huge in state rival Oregon Ducks lose to Az, this should be a big motivator for them believing that they now have a shot to go for the Big 12 title, early yes but they have to get this game to make a run. Colorado is coming off a 2OT loss at Cal and much like their home loss to conference foe Az St. it's a game they felt they should have won. Last season Beavs beat Buffs 44-17 in Corvalis, OR but Buffs never got in synch as they were coming from 3 weeks off due to flooding in Boulder and never looked good. Today I expect both teams to find rhythm to push the pace. 39-28 Oregon State

Hey Aussie. I would be cautious when projecting friendlies to official spreads. And that friendly was played w/out Griner. I still like Aus +18, I am just no going big on that one.
Also, an interesting volleyball match will begin in 20 mins, Italy-Japan. On paper both teams are evenly matched, yeah Italy will have crazy crowd support and probably ref support too, but the day of rest should help Japan to recover from all those 5-setters they have been playing: all their matches against quality opps went to five sets, how crazy is that. And Japan needs at least to take it to five sets, if not win outright. So I like Japan +1.5 sets @+150 and over 174.5 (a somewhat tight 4-setter would already guarantee that). I do no think Japan will be giving up easily here, while Italy will also be going for it b/c the crowd will carry them.

Yay, Aussies ! Boo, Japan. It was more of a garbage time cover, but a cover is a cover; and I somehow got the over too by a hook. Too bad, Japan vball team fell apart after losing the 1st set that they should have won. I keep forgetting that they seem to play poorly in Europe, especially in front of a hostile crowd. Well, sayonara.

Exactly Ax, a cover is a cover regardless. As long as your bankroll increased from it. I personally didn't do the ATS but when the over instead and got very lucky. Like you, I won it by the hook.

Cal/Wash St. over 695 bags same premise as Beavers game in that with Oregon losing the Pac 12 is wide open right now, so team like Cal and Wash St. should press b/c if they start and keep a win streak then the title could be theirs. Cal will want to erase that awful hail mary road loss at AZ and Cougars will want to get a big home win to avenge tough home loss to Oregon. These 2 teams should put up a barn burner. 49-48 Cougars

Great job on the 1st game today mate. 4-1 and 20 bags for you

this Rutgers game is close, so difficult to tail anyone on the other side for me, too many guys that don't do write-ups and sometimes looks like an insane asylum lets their inmates use computers only connected to cover's ncaaf forum

Its good to be back home. After a month of travelling, you just want to get back home and enjoy routine, family and friends.
Agreed.. I don't tail anyone from the other side anymore. I just knew that Ax likes Scal's write-ups but for me I just can't do it. The soccer forum guys seem pretty cool though but the NBA, NFL and College Forums are just a mess and like you said, seems like a bunch of ex-convicts are on their posting their plays.
Cannot wait for the NBA. Last season was fun but this season is going to be even better... See the Pelicans are beating Heat right now in pre-season? Doesn't mean much but Bosh is 3-13 in this game. If he is going to be their main scorer this season he really needs to step up.

Just checked the odds for the Eredivisie, they are so juiced up because of the overs in the league so far. The only one worthwhile would be the Alkmaar vs Twente game..
Loving the over in the Mallorca roadie vs Zaragoza as well.

Hey Michfan, hope you have been well.
Wagers absolutely got that Oregon state game spot on. Great capping.. I think we might get a total in this game that hits around 72. The line opened at 75 and went all the way down to 69. I think this game ends up smack bang in the middle.
