I am actually really looking forward to this fight card tomorrow guys. There are some really interesting match ups style wise that can result in a fun and entertaining night. We might as well make some money while we're at it!
Justin Salas (8U)- Over the last few years this kid has gone from just a wrestler to solid and well rounded mixed martial artist. He's athletic, he's hungry, he's surrounded by a great team, and he's going to become a name in the lightweight division. I like Means, I think he is a scrappy guy and respect his come forward type style. I think this style plays right into Salas' game plan though. These two will stand and trade, but once that length becomes even a wince of an issue, Justin will take this to the mat and grind on Means. This thing probably goes to a decision with Salas winning at least 2 of the 3 rounds. Book it.
Jared Papazian (5U)- This kid came into his debut on a little more than 2 weeks notice against a GAME opponent in Mike Easton and impressed the hell out of me. The kid has one gear and one speed and always looks to press the action. Dustin Pague is average at best. Papazian should turn this into the gritty type scrap that he like and wants. I wouldn't be surprised to see a stoppage here, but Papazian gets his hand raised one way or another.
Leonard Garcia (5U)- This fight seems like it was setup for the sole purpose of letting Leonard show that he can still make noise at 145. He has has a rough go the last couple years having to fight both TKZ and Nam Phan twice each. This fight with Grice should be a breath of fresh air for the Bad Boy. I think Leonard ends this fight with a sub no later that round 2.
Mike Pyle- I see a lot of Neer love on here. I'm a big Josh Neer fan as well. I have to go Pyle here though. One thing stands out for me when I think of Mike Pyle and that's the way he outclassed the Brit sensation John Hathaway. I don't do the whole MMA math thing, but that fight showed me that even at his age, Mike Pyle isn't taking his foot off the throttle.
Mike Pierce- Again, I like Rocha and what he's done in his prior UFC fights. He's a huge welterweight with great jitz, but give me the wrestler who is not coming off a long layoff. I said on another thread that Pierce looks to make a statement here after a couple hard-to-swallow losses.
Mighty Mouse--I had such a good time watching their first fight so i probably won't make a play here. Gun to the head, I say DJ takes the W. Uncle Creepy is an awesome fighter, but DJ has been in there with the best in the world @ 135 and has beaten some top level guys. I think he responds just right here and takes at least 2 out of the 3 rounds decisively.
BOL tomorrow boys! Don't get caught speedin'! :)
