It was an awful fight and nobody deserved to win.

Your right about that. Shogun didn't take the step to being the champ.. plus he wasn't affective at all that whole fight. Honestly neither of em were. Them leg kicks mean shit unless you capitalize on em. I had my money on shogun and he let me down. I knew he had to win more decisively and couldn't believe he was sitting back. Was more of a value bet anyway.

Strikes? Shogun
Aggression? shogun
Cage Control? Shogun
Grappling? was barely none
Shogun got robbed

Should look at the affectiveness of Shogun to Machida first of all. I had my money on Shogun and knew i lost when he wasnt pressing in that final round. He had a couple fail takedowns which cost'd him and with strikes Machida had cleaner shots.. This is MMA not kickboxing and it was clear Shogun strikes were not affective at all. Don't let that commentator blind you on what was really going on with those exchanges. He was obviously on Shogun's nuts. For example one exchange they had 4 or 5 clean landing hits from Machida were not expressed but a weak counter leg kick from shogun. Watch the video and openly see who scored the real points. Was very close though shouldn't of been unanimous imo but theres no way Shogun could of won it fighting that way. Machida is a very smart fighter and keeps track of scoring in his own head. He knows where he stands in the round Shogun didn't. 2 leg kicks that were parried in a round won't win you it. Not mentioning fail takedowns and kicks. I expected Shogun to fight not standby.. its alright to fight that style vs Machida but you gotta be decisive. Refund
Glad i took the distance too.
I've watched many fights over the past years and i'm usually always on point with decisions. I had this as a split decision to Machida. Think about it theres 3 judges they all went the same way.. don't be blind this is their job. Thats just my opinion on the fight though.
