Philly fan taken right from Anderson Silva himself- what more proof do you need my friend--

Silva spoke about the size difference in yesterday’s conference call for UFC 101. MMAWeekly.com quoted Silva who said he is used the the facing off against bigger opponents, “I’m used to training against bigger guys,” said Silva.

“A lot of people talk about moving up and down in weight,” he said. “For me, it is a little difficult to cut weight to make 185, but I walk around at 215 to 220 pounds, so for me to cut to 185, I do have to eat a little bit of a different diet, and do a little bit of a different type of cardio workout to get my weight down. For 205, I just eat differently, and I don’t have to cut as much weight. But both 185 and 205 work fine for me.”
It says he is up to 220 pounds-----

THat is why the UFC is such A joke, no wonder the guy is unbeatable at 185--

I mean why doesent GSP go fight in 145 pound range now if they had a division?

I am going to compete in the 130 pound range also, I am 180 lbs, lets see if i can throw the weaklings around--

The fight was very fixed-- Its fixed for ONE REASON---

BECAUSE THEY CAN-- IF THEY COULDNT FIX IT THEY WOULDNT FIX IT--

Why do players take ROIDS? because they can, its attainable for them to do it--

PUt WHite with 2 mafia brothers and give them the ability to Fix a game and I can guarantee you 10000000000% that they will fix a fight--

It already happened with KIMBO< its no surprise---

UFC and DANA would be the dumbest idiots on earth if they did not FIX fights-- THey have to because they have the ability to.

I hope you're not implying that Silva is the only guy who cuts a bunch of weight before a fight. All fighters pretty much have to cut weight before a fight. To say Anderson Silva cuts weight to move to a smaller division to push a bunch of weaklings around is just friggin stupid on your part. This thread is a complete joke now. Don't worry Sammy, I am done posting in this thread so you can have it all to yourself and think about how Anderson Silva is cheats because he cuts weight before a fight and how Dana White fixed this fight so Sammy Meatballs lost his bet on Forrest Griffin.

3rd: brock never said he wont fight fedor, it will happen in time and fedor will be in the ufc within the next 2 years, there will be no-one else for him to fight and dana will make him an offer he cant refuse

4th: are you serious about that comment i highlighted in red?? GSP is just a wrestler who cant finish anyone in a fight? wow your crazy... if you believe that you are seriously as un-educated about MMA as they come......

, he is a great wrestler but his skills are more than that, i dont know what belt he has in jiu-jitsu but he has to be considered at least a high-level brown belt( FOR YOU SAMMY, THATS ONE STEP BELOW A BLACK BELT , white, blue, purple, brown, black with degrees in each level..thats hoe jui-jitsu works) with the way he put away matt hughes with that arm-bar/shoulder lock, that was a high level transition and tapout he put on hughes.. have you watched his fights, he finished and put away alot of guys... go pull up his fights.  matt hughes he submitted, matt serra he stopped, beat penn so bad he forced his corner to STOP THE FIGHT AND QUIT, jay heiron he stopped. i mean come on sammy get a clue brother, im not even a big GSP fan but your comments are false. to say he cant finish anyone in a fight is in accurate and you have lack of knowledge my man.

1 more thing, machida wouldnt get KO'ED by anderson quick, thats just a crazy comment to go along with all your other comments that dont make sense at all.    to say lesnar would be intimidated by anderson is funny .  go watch some of the old ufc fights when GSP just came in and brush up and become more knowledgeable of the sport before you go throwing around stupid comments...

Thank you, this guy is a fuckin idot. Obviously needs to move on to another sport...

The Risk involved with a fighter getting cut from the roster and then going public about a fix being in doesn't seem like it would be worth the risk of doing it at all. That garbage may fly in Local events at your local War Memorial, but the in The UFC.

And Forrest ran from the ring because he was hurt and embarrased, Look how he acted when Jardine Knocked him out. That had NOTHING to do because he was upset with himself that he threw the fight.

I have seen this before. The most recent was Sean Sherk after he lost a decision to Edger.

But in honesty, I really don't think Forrest wanted to fight Silva at all in the first place.

I want the TRUTH---

Don't tell me that Forrest didnt throw that fight, he was running so fast out of there-

if are hurt with a broken jaw are you sprinting back to the locker room that fast?
Bullshit- he fucked up and wanted to get away from anyone cause he was disgraced after he tanked the fight-

The truth is, he looked scared, he got dropped, he threw some garbage, Silva danced around it, he got dropped again, and then he noticed how enraged Silva looked and probably said to himself "You know Forrest, unless you want to have your nose next to one of your ears, you better go down the next time that Silva makes contact."

And he did. Then he ran out of the ring in pain, disgust and embarrassement.

Forrest isn't the first guy to run out of the ring you know.

I am sure that the money was better to take this one than face Bonnar again. Forrest is a marketable guy, but he is just too inconsistant.

Forrest was Prime Rib in this feeding Frenzy, and Dana knew it. Why else put him in against Silva?

Like I said before, this fight was already fixed when it was announced. How was Forrest going to beat Silva? He has no power, no real ground skill, the worst thing he could possibly do is try and stand with him.

What I would like to know is who were the fools that were betting on Forrest?

When the Lines came out, Silva was -400 by the time the fight started, I seen -250.

Yeah, I am no GSP fan, but that guy is easily one of the best fighters in the world. He made Alves look silly and I thought Alves was actually going to give him a fight.

And Sammy, how in the Hell is GSP going to cut to 145? I really don't understand what you are getting at?

Yeah Sammy it happened to Kimbo in a corrupt organization. I am sure that the UFC isn't all peaches and cream (And I know they are not) but why Fix this one fight by having a far inferrior fighter take a dive? We all talked about how Forrest was going to get his behind kicked months ago.

you can't be serious, you really think fedor means person to UFC's bottom line? of course not! would they have liked him to be there? of course BUT fedor would only improve there bottom line, certainly not hurt it! this company is hitting on all cylinders right now, the last brock fight had 1.6 million ppv buys and roughly 5m at the live gate, this past show (which was a B show) will do close to if not a million buys not too mention the live gate, and this company has been doing this for a couple years now! and your trying to tell me that Dana somehow would want to jepordize this well oiled machine to fix a Spider Silva fight???? REALLY!!??

Another Thing...WWE's biggest PPV of the year is Wrestlemania, and that drew 960,000 buys, all the others draw anywhere from 1-400,000 buys and Vince McMahon is a BBBBillionaire with a B....and Dana is going to let his company fall to the floor by fixing fights

If those 2 guys fought each other 100 times, last nights fight would probably be on the long end of how long it would take Silva to destroy him in all 100 fights

The other fighters should also start training with the American Wrestling team in order to just become a dominat wrestler like GSP-

GSP is dominant in wrestling, he could have been a safety in pro football, he is SPRINGY like that and can explode fast, he has all fast twitch muscles--

GSP is dominant, but very very overrated because he is just a wrestler---

Put him in at his real weight of 185 and lets see him fight ALmeida, Grove, Marquardt, Henderson and the Franklins of the world--

THe guy is like a bully, of course he wins at 170- he can outwrestle anyone and turn it into a wrestling match--
IN the 185 range, people are bigger and can match his bullshit wrestling which IMO is complete rubbish--

If i pay 50$ for pay per view I can go to any local college and watch some bullshit wrestling- THe guy is just a wrestler who just wins fights--
I will give him that, I bet on him almost every fight cause there is little chance of him losing at 170 because he can just lay and pray on anyone--

But please let him fight some guys at 185 and you will see once he gets hit he will fold like he did vs SERRA--

THe guy is good, but nowhere near SILVA and FEDOR's level--

Those guys hurt people, GSP just smothers them and wins decisions-
beating all shitty wrestlers like Hughes, A miniature PENN, Serra who is 4 feet tall, Sherk who is 3 feet tall is not impressive--

Beating Fitch and Alves was impressive-- but he has proven he is good at 170--
TIme for GSP to step up and stop bulking up and then bullying the 170's--

CROWKILLER- What I am saying is that pretty much the SPider can drop down to 170 and kick the garbage out of that whole division?

IS that fair? He is already doing it by fighting at middleweight despite being 220 pounds off season weight-

GSP has to fight at 185- end of story but DANA protects him, hypes him and now can sell Payper views protecting his behind--

Dana learned the hard way, he almost KILLED the name of BJ PENN by making him fight up in weight--

IMO BJ PENN has the most heart and balls, at least he fights guys bigger than him-- and doesent fight guys way smaller like GSP and SILVA does--

SILVA for people sake should be in teh heavyweight division, BRandon Vera was in heavyweight and those 2 are teh same size-

BJ Penn has heart? He friggin quit against GSP in their 2nd fight, then proceeded to complain abot the vaseline ordeal. BJ Penn can never admit to losing a fight fair and square. GSP definitely has heart, just look at his first fight against BJ, gets his nose broken and his eye gouged in the 1st round and still manages to pull out a decision despite being able to see with only one eye. Also GSP is a much more rounded fighter than you think. The guy can box and everytime people say he is the inferior striker coming into the fight he surprises us all and ends up out boxing someone. When no one can stop your takedowns then why do something else? If it ain't broke don't fix it....

What is equally as amazing as how such a completly dumbass post and obvious lack of knowledge on Sammy's and a couple other posters part has gotten so much traction in this forum and on this post......this is obviously a "johnny come lately" to the sport who truely doesn't understand much about it today or in the past. I believe one of the idiot posters said it all when he said "I have been a UFC fan since back in the tank abbot days" ... you mean right after Tank Abbot left pro wrestling and had a terrible MMA career ????
