Please dont leave come in this thread and say stop riding nuts and that im stupid and blah blah blah.....been on this site for 6 years now and the bullshit gets old.....if you are NOT mr bator and clicked on this thread, you obviously were curious and should read my questions and his answers simply for the value of a respected cappers thoughts.....
mr bator.....i do not live in vegas (not even close), but a buddy of mine works at the bellagio and he occasionally will make a play for me....i was wondering if you had a couple minutes to answer some question i had about the superbowl.....
#1) If you can or want to, can you post on this thread what sportsbooks have the best lines? I know you are on the under 55, all i can get online is o/u 53.5 and the PATS -11....If you you dont want to give out this info i completely understand as you could lose value if the line continues to move your way....
#2) Do you think the line will go lower than 11? Any chance it makes it to 10 by game time?
#3) What do you think of NE -3 1st quarter and -7 1st h? ELI will be new to the big game, and its just another sunday for brady....
#4) The Giants Under 21 team points.... I want to wait and hope to get 21.5....i dont think they score that many though...
#5)Do you think this is good enough value on the alternate line betting ....NE -14.5 +150 , NE -17.5 +185.....do you know if I can get better odds somewhere??
#7) Plexico Burress over 4.5 receptions....I know belichek will not let him have 11 for 150+ like the packers did, but he is tall and eli will throw to him at least 10-12 times in the game imo....
thanks for your thoughts bro if you have time to respond.....anybody with constructive thoughts or knowledge of places with better lines are more than welcome to share..........

The lines here are pretty much -12 and 54.
#2) Do you think the line will go lower than 11? Any chance it makes it to 10 by game time?
No and no. If you can lay 11 now then DO IT.
#3) What do you think of NE -3 1st quarter and -7 1st h? ELI will be new to the big game, and its just another sunday for brady....
Obviously I like both, but if you can't get even money on that -7, then just stick to laying the 11 for the game.
#4) The Giants Under 21 team points.... I want to wait and hope to get 21.5....i dont think they score that many though...
I love this prop, as I've already mentioned that I think the Giants top out at 13 points in this game.
#5)Do you think this is good enough value on the alternate line betting ....NE -14.5 +150 , NE -17.5 +185.....do you know if I can get better odds somewhere??
Those prices are actually better than what I've seen so far. I'd recommend NE -14.5 +150 but that -17.5 +185 is nothing great.

Probably a good play as Eli will have to throw all game long once the G-Men quickly fall behind 14-0.

MrB, thanks for the answer in the other thread regarding how much you are putting down on this game. Sounds like you are putting down $110K solely on the Pats -11/11.5? I'm not going to ask why you feel so strongly about this play, but it's hard to believe you find this a stronger play than last year's NCAA football championship when you had $60k+(?) on Florida. Would you say the Pats are that strong of a play for you or perhaps you're slightly guilty of betting large because it's the Super Bowl?

Excellent questions, highside107. First of all, this play is definetely stronger than the play on Florida in last year's BCS title game. That was just 40K by the way. The amount seems to have grown with time in people's minds.

I'm going to plead guilty here, but not simply because it's the Super Bowl. My proposed monster wager on New England has something to do with last year's awful Super Bowl experience. I went to the Super Bowl in Miami and miraculously scored two incredible seats at the 45-yard line just 10 rows behind the Colts' bench. What made the transaction so shocking is that I bought the tickets from some guy just minutes before the national anthem and he asked for only $6,000! I whipped out that cash instantly! Once inside, I found my seats and for a few minutes, might have been happier and more excited than at any other moment in my life. I had $70,000 on the Colts to win the Super Bowl at +160, +155, and +150 (made before the AFC Championship game) and $130,000 on the Bears +7.5 -120 and +7 -110. I needed to see the Colts win by no more than 7 for a mammoth-sized middle of a quarter million dollars.
It didn't happen. But the rain did. And my friend and I weren't dressed for nonstop rain. As I slowly got soaked to the skin, so did my hopes of winning both gigantic bets. When Rex Grossman threw that 4th quarter duck that was picked off by Kelvin Hayden and returned for the touchdown that broke my back, I didn't even stand up to watch. Not because it was so depressing, but because by that point standing at all was so icky, uncomfortable, and cold. An hour later I finally trudged slowly out of Dolphin Stadium, in complete contrast to the way I had literally run in. I had such high hopes for that day, but instead I left traumatized by my first Super Bowl.
I wasn't the same for months afterward, and every time I thought of that cold and rainy night in Miami, I knew that someday I would have to try for a very different Super Bowl experience. Little did I know that just 12 months later I would get this fantastic opportunity to make everything right. I still don't know if I want to bother with the hassle of actually going to the game, but I think I should. I have to put Super Bowl XLI behind me for good.
