You make some good points, but I just think this is too many points. The Eagles aren't one of the worst teams in the NFL. They have great coaching, Brian Westbrook, and an above average secondary even without their SS.
Andy Reid's game plan isn't going to involve getting into shootout. He is going to do his best to slow the hell out of this game. Just think 24 points is too much here...

PICK: Philadelphia Eagles
Offered at: 24.5 SPORTSBETTING
REASON FOR PICK: 4* PHILADELPHIA over NEW ENGLAND OK, now it’s time. We have been sitting and watching with a degree of awe at the way that the Patriots have been destroying pointspreads this season, and fortunately not getting signed in the process, as so many past favorable wagering patterns were also shattered in the process. But we firmly believe that the betting markets have not only finally caught up with how good this team is, but have indeed pushed this one too far. With 24.5’s beginning to show in the marketplace (and +25 readily available here in Las Vegas), we are in play. 3-7 ATS. That is the key starting point, and that is the record that the Patriots would have is -24.5 was the price for each game this season. And two of those successes were against Buffalo. Now they are facing a team that brings a most rare resume to the table for an underdog in this range – the Eagles are a playoff contender with a veteran coaching staff that will not back down from this challenge. Andy Reid has the second best November/December record of any coach in the NFL (yes, Bill Belichick is the only one above him), and in Jimmy Johnson there is a defensive coordinator that has seen just about everything through the years, and can reach back into his blitz package schemes for a way to at least disrupt Tom Brady & Co. a few times. If you can find one of those +25’s it is that defense that adds another element; since they have only allowed more than 25 points in a game once this season. That defense has been particularly strong in the red zone, where they have only allowed 13 touchdowns in 34 invasions by the opposing offense, and it also only takes a couple of touchdowns turned into field goals to turn this mountain of a pointspread into Everest. As for the Philadelphia offense, we actually prefer the added points being offered because of the absence of Donovan McNabb, who has only been having an ordinary season. A. J. Feeley has enough starting experience to trust him in this realm, especially since what he will be called to do it manage the game, instead of having to make plays. This one falls on the shoulders of Brian Westbrook, a legitimate NFC Play of the Year candidate (849 rushing yards at 4.8; 55 receptions for another 518 yards), who can find some operating room against a Patriot defense that has allowed 4.2 per carry. We are not asking for touchdowns here, but first downs and a moving clock. Philadelphia is not going to end the Patriot win streak. But on a blustery night in Foxboro (the temperature should reach freezing during the course of the game), there are more than enough points being offered for us to cash a ticket.

!! Pats 50+ .. They seem to be trying to make a statement and
break all NFL records. Don't throw your money away on the Eagles.

Well, people who made these similar posts were right a few weeks ago against the Colts, no? They didn't cover against the Colts. No one is saying the Eagles are going to win, but we are saying they are going to cover the largest spread since 1987... That doesn't really sound crazy to me!
Buffalo gets +15 points (without Lynch) and the Eagles get +24?! Are the Bills better than the Eagles? I'd rather have AJ Feely than JP Losman and Brian Westbrook is the biggest X-Factor in the league.
This line is a stretch...
