can i get a source on this please? heres the info i found AFTER he lost his appeal to the CFL.
The Edmonton Eskimos will be without linebacker A.J. Gass when they face the Saskatchewan Roughriders as his one-game suspension has been upheld in a review hearing with CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon.
The CFL suspended Gass for one game earlier for his actions in a melee in Edmonton's 34-32 loss to the Calgary Stampeders on August 4. But Gass appealed the decision, which allowed him to play against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday.
Gass was banned for ripping the helmet off Calgary lineman John Comiskey's head and heaving it downfield, resulting in his being ejected from the game. Teammate Kenny Onatolu was also kicked out of the game for fighting.
What precipitated the entire incident was Gass becoming incensed after being hit in the groin area by a Calgary player during a pileup.
Gass still has the right to have Cohon's decision reviewed by an independent arbitration process.

Sorry Bud but you're wrong. AJ Gass will NOT be playing this week. 100% suspension was upheld and was NOT overturned. Source is posted below if you dont believe me.

Lines Moving to BC +2 and SSK -7 now.... This is very typical for a CFL BYE week. Since there are only 2 games on the board you gotta think that they are getting much more bets than the average CFL tilt. This is why you see the early line movement as the books will try to balance the action. Watch out Tim Donaghy turned himself in so maybe this week it's the publics turn to kick the books in the NUTS. Or maybe someone should find out that old white CFL ref's name and see what he took on this week's sportsaction toto.
GL everyone.

Agreed. Why they would WANT to play him in this spot just boggles my mind. Why in the hell wouldnt you just let this blow over and let this game go so that you can be ready and healthy for a big labour day game as opposed to this meaningless tilt. What a poor poor stupid coaching decision this is. Why am i not surprised it's the eskimos and their poor coaching that will cost them yet another season. AJ wont be putting any points on the board for EDM don't forget...

btw- My bad.
You were on this like white on rice while i was snoozing. Good find but again I don't feel that this has any affect in terms of the final outcome of this game. Seems more like a fish play to me by the books because they are getting buried with SSK wagers so they have the media report this kind of news. DJ wouldnt it seem like this would be the typical kind of information that would only be released like last minue ie last week's mysterious LATE injury report that came out JUST before the game.
Week 4 Edm beats SSK 21-20 in edm with a full healthy lineup.
Week 5 SSK beats Edm 54-14 in SSK and gets their revenge. SSK has not lost since.
SSK avging 38.3 ppg @ home this season and Edm avging just 14ppg on the road. And now they have a depleted lineup? Gimmie a break.
27-10 SSK. ![]()

..bandit.... I think you are correct in regards to varying bet sizes when playing blackjack...that's just basic math and statistical probability...but I'm not sure the analogy applies to sports betting...
..i'm pretty confident in stating that most, if not all, professional sports bettors (the 1 or 2% who actually bet sports for a living successfully) flat bet and do not vary their amounts dramatically....
..any fluctuation in their bet size has to do with the size of their bankroll...one wager = 3 to 5% of their bankroll....as their bankroll increases, the size of their individual wagers increase accordingly, but the 3 to 5% never (or very rarely) changes...
discipline and money management is what separates the pros from the amateurs and winners from the losers over the long haul....
