I thought the line should have been Patriots -6 and this would have gotten equal play on both sides if and this is a big if...the books wanted equal action on both sides.
Seems to me (my opinion) that they want New England Patriot money...I bet in reality that the money is lopsided on the Pats' side.

These were the lines from my offshore book in 1-19-17, two days before the Conference Championships.

NE....doesn't this remind us all of NFC vs AFC of the '90.s. Except reversed. Good defense vs so-so one etc etc. Difference here I believe in NE doesn't have the Superstars on offense and Atlanta kinda does. And what would have happened if Pittsburg had just guarded Hogan once?

I will say that fresh in my head after the conference championship weekend when the line opened up at patriots-3 and total at 58.5 I immediately took the patriots and played the over but after thinking about this long and hard I can't help but think that millions of people did the same and I most certainly now have my doubts and am leaning Atlanta and the under and most likely will buy out. I think that the majority of the tickets are Patriots and the over or just on the over with so much fewer tickets being punched in with Atlanta and the under as the dominate play. It my years of handicapping I have noticed in the end of the games played weather it be the NFL, NBA or MLB the outcome usually with two defensive teams towers over with the dog winning or when two offensive teams playing flows under with the favorite covering. It rarely falls favorite and the over or dog and the under and that is why I will be doing a three sixty on my original play and will be playing Atlanta and the Under.....A play with the least amount of tickets wagered on!

I will hand it to NYC gags, he offers good data. He isn't pushing the bs of belichick this Brady that. Experience this, history that. All that bs is nonsense because it has NOTHING TO do with this game on Sunday. It offers good insight into what may happen but it does not tell the story of the game itself. What I have been reading a lot of this week is purely that. People feel that before this game starts, it's already over. Why? Because of the PAST and the HISTORY. I'm not picking sides here YET but that CAN'T be the only reason why one is picking a side. One may get lucky doing that but it's not capping. It's the lazy approach. We have a lot of lazys in here. What's interesting is that EVERY person I talk to says the same thing and it reminds me of the atlanta/green bay game a week and a half ago. All you heard about was Rodgers. That was it. A lot of what you hear about this week is Brady and Belichick. Well, when you break down these teams, there is a lot more to it. We can dissect teams and how they played against common opponents or whatever but it's a different story when the two teams play each other. Esoecially when Quinn and Hoodie have history. If it were as easy a throwing a grand in new England purely for Hoodie and Brady, would everyone do it? So far. From what I'm seeing in here and in the data, that's kind of what's going on. Someone once told me, if it's too good to be true (patriots winning by a fg), it usually is. Just gotta figure out if Sunday is that one occasion the roof good to be true, occurs......
