Do you think that TWO weeks in a row now, on the road, the packers getting 5, with how hot they have been is an EASY bet? Do you think vegas and this line is legit when you take into account these two teams? Is it a gift?! Why does +5 green bay seem so easy? Is Matt Ryan, THIS year, a lesser of a qb than Aaron Rodgers and if so how are you basing your evaluation? Could this be a mindf@ck with the media going on and on about Rodgers yet none of that media is talking about their lack of a consistent run game and their weak secondary? Intent there? Nobody is talking about this run game of atlanta. Why? What about Julio's "toe"? What about the edge rushers of atlanta? Should we just bet on Aaron Rodgers sunday and call it a day because sports illustrated has him on the cover? Lastly, how many players are on each side of the ball in football? Rodgers makes up about 4.5% of that number yet for that reason and that reason alone, you want to take the 5 points here? I'm not telling anyone to pick a side here but please cap the teams, the numbers and the money rolling in on green bay first before you look to ONE player in the second biggest game of the year. You want to base your play off of history? That funny. What happened in baseball this year with the cubs? Did their history get in the way? What about the cavs down 3-1 against the warriors? History is just that, history. Different teams, different coaches, different variables all together here. Where are you placing your money sunday? On Rodgers or the Falcons Team? Some of you have a few more days to decipher all the media bs.....

While i agree, The problem is the defensive injuries the Packers have has skewed this line. Normally giving Rodgers 5 points is a trap but then when you account for how bad the Packers injuries are this line could be inflated because of that very reason. A team with injuries can win a game as 10/15 point underdogs because you cannot take into account how they play or how they don't play.

Remember the #1 offense in 2011? Yeah.. it was the Green Bay Packers.. Duo ( Nelson/Cobb). NFL Power Ranked 1 all the way to the regular season. Who knocked these #1 offense out? The GIANTS. They went on to win the Super Bowl.
Who was the NFL's MVP that year? Aaron Rodgers.
You see... Atlanta is like the Packers in 2011 season. Matt Ryan will get 2016 MVP. But who win this game? PACKERS
Why? - Because they racked up tv ratings close to Superbowl Ratings against the Cowboys. Pulling them out will hurt Vegas.
When did you see a 4th seed knock out the #1 seed in the NFL? It's call the "underdog", the team to be off the radar. 2011 season Packers are one of only five teams in NFL history to score 35 points or more nine times in a single season. This year? ATLANTA has score eight times in a single season. Very close to have tied GREEN BAY and the other FIVE teams.
How rare is it for an underdog to defeat the #1 seed and then play the #2 seed?
You see, the Steelers on the other side of the AFC is playing like the Green Bay team of the NFC side. Except that team has a strong running game and a strong receiver group. If both the #3 and #4 seed defeats the #1 and #2 top seeds.. it's NFL history... and a repeat of 2010 season. That season and Superbowl also drew the most tv ratings for the NFL. THE MOST WATCHED SUPERBOWL OF ALL TIME.
If you think earlier in the year, you got to see the Goodell wanted to see more tv ratings. That's when Kap started to kneel, riots from police killings, a group called BLM movement... and then... the 45th President. Tv ratings were down and Goodell wanted it back.
Packers/Steelers are the only teams that produced the ratings Goodell wanted. I wouldn't be suprised to see them again for Goodell's cause.
I've also predicted earlier in the year of the 45th President of this year's theme. Superbowl 45 was between Packers and Steelers. This was the 2010 season.
Packers played in the Cowboys stadium and this year... the Packers had to play in the stadium that they won the SUPERBOWL... giving them momentum to keep moving foreward and 1 win away from the SUPERBOWL again.

I don't disagree with you swish but I do feel that with the preponderance of bettors who are taking the pack, the sole reason is Rodgers and that is the wrong way to look at this game. I firmly believe that Rodgers gets his on Sunday. He probably has a great performance but people are forgetting that there are other players on that field that could play a role in the outcome of this game. In my eyes, I feel people have lost some common sense in forgetting this.
The mirage is the aura of Rodgers and it's strong. It pulls ya in if you let it. Let's be honest, in calling this game, I've found myself coming to the idea that Rodgers and his hot streak could be the determining factor here. I have never looked at gambling that way though and I can't base a bet off of one player the media is pushing my way. A few examples: last year I had no doubt (it's in my threads and posts) that the cavs would win it all. Yet as they got down 3-1, even still thinking the cavs would pull it out, the idea that curry at home would shoot them to victory on one of three ganes. Same with the cubs and kluber. As great as kluber was in the playoffs this last year, with him getting the ball in game 7 at home, I was still on the cubs. We saw this in the superbowl with cam last year. People who bet the panthers, bet because of cam and got lost in the idea that the obvious better team was denver. Now i understand rodgers in a different breed but to think he and him, covers this spread with no real supporting variables that outweigh the falcons team, its nuts. Simply betting rodgers here jist because its rodgers is a dangerous way of thinking.
Lastly, throw in the media talk and it's ridiculous. It's unfair to Matt Ryan who has had a better year to think that only having to cover by 4 at home with the better team yet he isn't getting his due? Really? Don't u think that is motivating to Ryan? He won't come out and say it but you know his team feels disrespected and they feel Ryan is indeed getting the backseat when really he should be the talk. I feel the media and vegas wants it this way thus flooding the minds of the bettor to lean the Rodgers way. If the pack cover, great but something tells me it's not gonna be as easy as throwing some money at a spread because Rodgers is gonna will every aspect of this game to be have them cover/win. We'll find out I guess.....

Playsforall, respectfully, please don't tell me how to read vegas brotha. I do just fine. A few things for you:
1. There are no "gifts" given out at this time of the year especially with the amount of money being vet on these games.
2. Simply taking pitt ML and GB ML is not EASY money. Even if they win, nothing is easy this time of year. Throwing that word around makes me wonder about you to honest play4all.
3. You can rate your "MVPs of Covers" all day. I could care less brotha. I know who is good in this forum and who isn't. Nothing against bouncer but playsforall, it doesn't phase or sway me
Lastly, for bouncer- the defense of 2011 Packers was light years better than this year's. You know it, I know it. Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships. You can have a 45-41 game in the superbowl but it takes ONE stop that separates the winner from the runner up. Defense brotha. I don't see much of it with the packers. We'll see if that changes come sunday.

WIZZ- U say don't overyhink it? Well, when I place a bet, I want to be as confident ad possible. I want all the angles and variables possible. I would hope all in here are the same. After all, we are betting with real money, right?

Either way, win or lose this game, I still got the Super Bowl to make up if Packers lose. May the best team win. I have NFC this year to win the Super Bowl.

Monkeeboogs- did u truly believe that all the money was on Clemson in the national championship? Almost 90%ML?! 60 plus % on spread? The sites I sent you are pretty accurate but please understand that sometimes these numbers are just that, numbers? If you truly think that the overwhelming majority of the public is on Atlanta to cover this game, well, believe that then. I know what site you are talking about but that same site showed frozen numbers for 3 days telling the bettor that Clemson was the overwhelming favorite with betting money. The public saw it too and so did the bama backers on covers. What happened?
If for every dollar bet on green bay, there is 5 being bet on Atlanta, I'd be very very suprised. I'm not buying it. We'll see though......

Chaton- did I say the ganes are dictated by where the money is? It's ONE variable I use. ONE. Put the jump to conclusions mats away now before you get hurt, ok? Thanks for stopping by brutus

Btw...The first 2 sentences of your statement are contradictory. Did I say the games are dictated by where the money is ? Than stating it is a variable....
Well played son. hard to look that dumb over 3 lines of text....But you did it

CHATON: Dumb? Son? Wow. 38 posts in to this journey and you are wagging that thing around heavy style huh?
Contradictory? Read the two lines buddy. Read them. Let me simplify for you: Is knowing where the money is going the deciding VARIABLE when capping games? Nope. Not at all. Is it important to understand where the betting public is in big bet prime time games when usually the betting public is a bunch of dumsh@ts like yourself? 100% yes. Make sense?
Better yet, lets go to school here for a minute smart guy: Familiar with science experiments and collecting data? Controlled variable? Understand what that is buddy? Well, in capping games, there is no controlled variable. No such thing. What there are a lot of are other VARIABLES that can contribute, whether it be disproving or reaffirming ones findings in their conclusion. Understanding where the money is going can sometimes play A ROLE, NOT THE ROLE in a decision. Its an extra piece of information.....Get it? Or do you need some assistance with this already modified lesson plan CHATON?
You wanna go personal? If it makes you feel superior, go for it but check yourself buddy. Your 38 posts can go take a walk. You got access to my plays so go check em. Who are u again? Coming in here and being a complete schmuck along with your newbie buddy PLAYSFORALL doesn't work with me. It didn't work with your pions in the ncaa forum a few weeks ago with pushing bama. It's not working now buddy. Move on, ok? I smell your type a mile away. Know that. Done. Moving on.
