So, look, I live here. I bleed Orange and Blue. I love my Donkeys. Tonight is one of those games that I circled on the calendar when I saw it come out.
Monday Night Football and Brock is coming home. Normally, I am a players first kind of fan. I get it. They only get to play so many years and few of them will make a living off of their smarts, so they should get paid when they can. That said, Brock kind of pissed me off and the rest of the town.
We groomed him. We paid him to sit and learn and watch the offense. Then, when the time came, he performed pretty well. Look, this was a team that could win a SB (and did) this was Peyton Fing Manning that was sitting on the bench. Nope, Brock was not playing bad when he was benched (in fact he was outplaying Manning) but this team needed a change and Kubiack pulled the cord at just the right time and the Donkeys responded to the move and went on to win SB 50.
Elway offered Brock a good amount of money to stay but Brock had had his feelers hurt. He did not like the way he was benched and when the Texans came courting, he left, he left the Broncos in a very awkward situation. We had won the Super Bowl but we had lost Brock. Instead of him being a good soldier and putting team first, Brock left us.
Those are the facts. Right, wrong, or indifferent, the facts are the Broncos players, front office and fans feel like Brock left us in a lurch. We are all pissed off. You cannot say anything about feelings. Maybe Brock was right, I mean 70 million is a lot of money but it does not matter one bit. The Broncos and I are very, very angry, make no mistake. It will be so loud and crazy tonight and we want blood.
Tonight, Brock comes home and we are waiting for him.
Broncos roll in the biggest beatdown of the year.
Crash
I am betting with my heart and it will be the max for me, 550 to win 500.

I think we get Stephenson and Okung both back tonight and trust me, we need them with the Texans D Front. If they can just hold their own we kill them.

Texans can only play good at home and they should have lost last week.
One thing i do know, the Broncos d will not go soft like the Colts did. The secondary will shut down Brock and the pass rush will knock him on his asss

IGNORE THE TEXANS LAST GAME VS DEFENSLESS INDY & FOCUS ON PREVIOUS ROAD GAME VS VIKES. GONNA BE THE SAME BUT WITH A BIT MORE PAIN FOR ASSWHACKER:DEN 36 HOU 13
Lol how do you see Denver scoring 36 points on Houston? The past two games were against much much worse defenses (san Diego and Atlanta) and they only scored 13 and 16 points?

Vs Atlanta it was Paxton Lynch, vs. SD it was Trevor Siemian with a hurt shoulder.

Denver won't light up the scoreboard on any team, but with the expected performance range of Assweiler against this defense, you have to expect them to score atleast in the 20s today. Texans struggle somehow to stop the run, might be key in this game. Also Kevin Johnson on IR hurts.

I hear ya..but even if he is 100 percent this week it's not like they are getting an elite or even even better than average qb back..and he's going against the Texans who have the second ranked pass defense in the league..I just can't see it..but I've got a lot more money on the under tonight so BOL to us both!

Don't over look Houston's god awful special teams unit. Poor field position and an offense that can't move the ball isn't any way to win a game on the road.

Every NFL player wants every other NFL player to make as much cheddar as they possible can. So if Houston offered more money than Denver then what is the big uproar?. I believe 18 mill vs 16 mill. I have no idea where this notion that Denver players feel he betrayed them. That is just sports talk radio and fans reaction. It is all about ratings and advertisers getting their money worth and Chucky Gruden going crazy about whatever Chucky goes crazy about. Why didn't Denver just match the offer? Where was the uproar about a few extra million dollars?
Additionally Gary Kubiak is the least likely guy to run up anything. He gets a 7 point lead and it might as well be 70. I have seen that guy go into shutdown mode 100's of times with the Texans when they had any kind of lead. Houston may be so bad that it turns into a blowout, but it won't be from Kubiak calling plays to go up by 28 points.
Another poster made a comment about funny things can happen on Monday night. Would not be surprised if the Texans won 34-31.

I did just read that Brock did not let Denver match the offer. So I am guessing Denver did something to piss him off like benching him for Peyton. Anyway most players accept that other players have to do things like contracts and money to best suit their needs and "family". The Astros fans still boo Carlos Beltran after he played half a season with the Astros in 2004 and left for giant payday in NY. Hilarious.

People who try to act like Denver players didn't take that personally are silly. Pro Athletes are good at holding a chip on their shoulder and taking any motivation they can get. This is a championship caliber Denver team coming off back to back losses, playing at home, against a guy straight up said they wanna go out and they murder, the Texans D might keep them in the game but there's no chance their offense moves the ball.

Maybe, just maybe if the game was played in Houston but in Denver---forget it! Denver losing three in a row, two of which are at home---forget it! Minnesota pummelled Houston 31-13 at home two weeks ago, holding the Texans to 214 total yards in the process. You now you think maybe, that just maybe Houston is going to fare better against the Bronco defense in the thin air? Forget it!

No offense, Crash, but aren't you the guy that said that Andre Caldwell was having a great camp when he was, in fact, no longer with the team. Also, the fans care more about the Osweiler situation than the players do. To them he's just another QB to go after. Anything else is talk radio and MNF chatter.
