MIAMI DOLPHINS OVER/UNDER 7 WINS
Well, whatever you choose might end up in a push here so that's that.
I'll tell you what real quick, losing Lamar Miller, a top 10 running back in this league that can effectively run and catch the ball will be a big hit on this team's offensive repertoire. Jay Ajayi is decent but nowhere near what the scouts were saying before he got drafted. Missed half of last season and had a sub 4.0 ypc after that. His frame is rather small when it comes to blocking and i'm not really sure where this is going considering that there's no one else left on that roster to remotely challenge Ajayi for the starting gig.
Not this will get tricky. Tannehill's completion percentage took a hit last season but not because he stopped being accurate, but because his style changed a bit and started throwing more downfield. Gase will have extended sit downs with Ryan but how will they pan out? No one knows. The receiving corps are pretty damn good, so it's all on Ryan to deliver now.
Altough Ryan passed deeper last season, that didn't happen with Landry, who had lowly averages despite having 110 catches.
When it comes to their D, they lost Vernon, Shelby and Grimes but added Mario Williams, Kiko Aonso, Byron Maxwell and Isa Abdul Quddus. Meh, not really a fan but hey ho. Wake will be back after a torn Achilles but he's 34 and most likely will never be what he used to be. Maxwell was a disaster in Philly and Kiko wasn't too good either.
Their draft was decent only because Tunsil fell into their laps. All that weed smoking stuff is just nonsense and I couldn't care less. He's a very good player and will have a long career in this league. They needed a CB and took Howard. Okay I could say. Drake is such an average RB that in my book he is a non factor. No ball security and is injury prone. Taded up to get Caroo at WR when he might not even see playing time. Grant at WR is better than Caroo and you wonder why they needed 2 WR's in the draft. Then the cherry on top, drafting Doughty at QB. I mean c'mon now man...
All in all, Ryan will have good protection in front of him and he'll need that. But that D will be hit or miss. Adam Gase as a new head coach is... exciting? Don't know but This team needs some solid defensive minds there because Tannehill is not the type of QB to just carry them into January.
Biggest problem is that we all know they'll start 1-3 with trips to Seattle, Patriots and Bengals and a home game against the Browns. After that though, they have 4 home games in a row against the Titans, the Steelers, the Bills and the Jets. If the can't win 3 out of 4, there's no way in my book they get to 8 wins.
This is the complete schedule:

This is going to be tough.
Miami will put up points on the board that's for sure. But will they stop teams from scoring in bunches? My guess is no and I will take the under here. It could very well be a push but I am pretty sure it won't be a loser.
PICK: UNDER 7 WINS @ +100
