My leans are DEN and ARI-
Arizona Cardinals
@ Carolina Panthers
I mentioned this in my other thread but here is what Seattle had to go through prior to their match-up with Carolina.
Playing with 6 days rest after a below 0 temperature game. 2nd straight early start on the road. 3rd straight road game. 4th straight game in a different time zone. The Panthers on the other hand, were completely rested.
Seattle did not enter that game on their best and because of it, saw a 31-0 deficit halfway through the 2nd quarter. From that point on, Seattle dominated Carolina in every facet of the game. Most people will like to say CAR took their foot off the gas pedal but I see it completely the opposite. That was a playoff game between 2 rival teams, SEA was the more dominant team that had a much tougher road to the SB and the Panthers benefited from it greatly. Carolina won the game in the end, but failed to score a single point and failed to have a single play within Seattle’s 40 yard line for the final 36 minutes of game time.
Not going to go too much into detail here but I love Arizona in this game. They are the more complete team with the better coaching catching a field goal. Last season the Panthers eliminated the Cardinals in the playoffs but Arizona had Ryan Lindley playing as their QB. This is a huge revenge game for Arizona as they’ve made it all the way back to the playoffs to meet the same opponent but with their regular QB at the helm this time around.
