How in the world can anyone back the Patriots right now
I watched the entire game against the Chiefs and they looked awful in every phase of the game. There is something not right with Brady and everyone knows it. The whole offense is a mees and their D made Alex smith look like steve young and chief's rb's look like walter payton and jim brown.
Now a short week to face an undefeated Bengals team coming off a bye with extra time to prep #1 overall in the AFC.
Bengals #1 Defense in the nfl allowing a slim 11 pts/game over 4 weeks.
And that was just not just a bad game by the pats they have looked like crap all year especially their offense. I was one of the idiots who backed the pats monday night and I admit I was obviously dead wrong. I wont be touching this team until I see MAJOR change.
Even if Pats were playing a crap team like Jacksonville I would still not touch them let alone the Bengals. Really?
And don't give me that letdown, bounceback angle here because that was not just a bad game or fluke. The Pats have major problems right now.
Or the "vegas setting up the public to take the Bengals sunday night"
The pats have way too many problems to fix in just 5 days and if you can't see that you are blind. I'm jumping far off the Pats wagon until I see they get their crap together.

Huge Pats homer here and I have to agree. I have watched this team and come away feeling differently then the usual Pats slow starts in seasons past where they win ugly but improve weekly.
This team is showing the same problems they had in week 1 in week 4 which is extremely concerning.
Here are the problems they have to address before they are bettable again:
Offensive line: seriously this is some of the worst offensive line play in the league. OAK had a chance to win the game in the end! Oakland! KC rushers were getting to Brady untouched. They didn't even have to run stunts or blitz to get pressure.
WR talent: A good o-line, above avg run game, and HOF qb can cover this up which they did in the past. However as mentioned above the o-line is in shambles right now so wr's are getting exposed. Edelman is a great 2nd receiver. Amendola a good 3rd or 4th option. Gronk is a good 2nd or 3rd option (until he returns to form). We have no #1 wr talent on the roster. It's been that way for all time besides Randy Moss.
Defense: This one I'm confused about. I'm not sure if it's scheme or talent but the same issues that have plagued this unit in years past have surfaced again. Our LB's (not including Jamie Collins) can NOT cover in space. I'm not sure if they are too slow, or the scheme that Patricia is running makes them think too much during the play so they look slow, but the middle of the field is always open in the passing game. This puts too much pressure on the Dline to try to get quick pressure, and too much pressure on our corners to cover their man AAAANNNDDD make tackles on streaking TE's, RB's, FB's, WR's.
I think Pats can improve in some of these areas come game time, and having browner back will help, but I've been saying Andy Dalton is the new Payton Manning. He crushes in the regular season and has pro bowl talent at every level of the offense and defense. This game is a pickem only b/c of what BB and TB12 have been able to do historically. Oddsmakers don't know how to price these teams. I'm not overthinking it. Gonna trust the math, trust my eyes and play on CIN.

Public does not bet against the Pats... not yet! The public has a very simple-minded approach to betting, and one of those simple-minded approaches is the belief that the Pats and Brady will succeed... they have yet to embrace the reality that these are not the same Patriots of the past 15 years...
The Public also doesn't bet on the Bengals... they think of the Bengals as a team that will never win big games...
There may be a slight lean towards the Bengals in terms of the betting % in this game, but it's right around 60%, which is standard for a favorite. Covers has it listed at 59%, and I find Covers to be the most reliable sample for gauging the public... and the only one that can be trusted, also!

Nearly every Belichick team has had holes that have needed to be masked which he always eventually gets a handle on, too many people are over-reacting to a small sample of games where Belichick is still figuring out who his best O-line is. In 2001 they got by without any explosive players on offense. In 2004 they managed with a torn up secondary, 2006 without reliable receivers, in 2008 they did it without Brady. I do like them to bounce back but it wouldn't be a huge bet for me as i'd still like to see the improvement before i'm taking them. It's definitely not a spot i would give away points though, 13 times has Belichick lost by 20+, he is 11-2 SU next game.

Each of those years NE had an above average offensive line, and they leaned heavily on the run game, play action, clock mgmt, time of possession, and scoring defense. They only have one of those things working in their favor the last 4 weeks. Guess which one...

Pats are finally getting exactly what they deserve by cutting it trading there best players and letting Logan mankind go was the last straw for Brady. He admitted it with what he says after the KC game .. He said basically we suck ... Don't sleep on Cincy coming off a bye and NE on a short week. I saw Cincy play they are impressive .. Line figures in all the NE money line should be -3 Cincy and a pk I'm all over the bengals
