1-1-1 ATS for the day with a win on the teaser (well kind of - WTF Patriots????). Packers laid an egg big time and I cannot believe the Cowboys let the Rams get that late TD.....it happens...

Hit the Steelers +3.5 and Steelers ML last night as well.
For week 3 I am sitting at:
4-1-1 ATS
1-0 ML
1-0 Teaser
0-1 Parlay
I realized that dropping from 4 to 3 teams on the one weekly teaser might be the way to go.
Tonight I am going with the Bears +3
Why??
Cutler, Forte, Marshall, Jeffery and Bennett vs. the Jets D. I said it last week when I took the Bears over the 49ers (and when I lost with them in week 1) and I will say it again - Cutler is a Top 5 to 10 QB this year and I think Trestman has a lot to do with it. Heck, last year McCown was playing at an all pro level and look at how pathetic he has been in Tampa (with some pretty decent weapons).
Yes, the O-Line for the Bears is banged up, I get it and yes, the Jets have been tough against the run. However, the Jets pass defense allowed 2 TDs (no INTs) from Carr in the Meadowlands on his cross country debut and Rodgers ate them up (which is something he has not done yet in two other games). QBs vs Jets D rating over 100, QBs vs Bears D rating is around 65.
Hop over to Football Outsiders and you have two pretty much equally ranked defenses (13th for Chicago, 15th for the Jets) but offensively, Chicago sits at 10th while the Jets are 23rd. They rank Chicago 6th overall and the Jets 19th.
So basically - give me a team with an 11-3 MNF record since 2006, 3 points and the much, much better offense and QB on Monday night.
I see this game as a 24 to 20 win for the Bears.
Best of luck to the Covers forum on this Monday night.
