8-3 YTD
Do any of you have any idea who has the 4th highest QBR in the league right now? Ryan Fitzpatrick...
yea... let that sink in.
I am not getting into anymore stats and how horrible you or I think Eli is or how good or bad the Giants are...I think being road favorites in Oakland last week and road favorites in New York this week is way too much to ask of this Texans team. A lot of bettors backed the Texans in Oakland as a favorite in week 2 and came out on top. Here is a quote from an article by David Purdum from ESPN titled "Another Big Weekend in Vegas" -
Houston Texans (-3) 30, Oakland Raiders 14: Sharp and public money teamed up on the Texans and handed the MGM and South Point significant losses Sunday.
"The Texans gave us our biggest loser last week, when they beat the Redskins," said Vaccaro, "and they did it again to us this week."
So I fully expect everyone who has sided with the Texans in week 1 as a dog and week 2 as a favorite to continue doing so on this small line. In my opinion if Vegas really thought the Texans were for real at 2-0 they would be a slightly higher favorite over this Giants team that everyone in this country is convinced is brutal.
If there's anything consistent about Eli it's how inconsistent he is. He's due for a big game. The fact that Fitz has been playing so well leads me to believe he's due for a letdown which is a perfect spot with all of this recent travel in b2b road games. They signed Mallett for a reason. Fitz is not a "zero interceptions through two games" kind of guy. The Giants will improve. And I am betting it starts this week.... Take care of the ball, load the box, make Fitz beat you, then celebrate a W.
