Unless you really follow the Falcons I don't think most realize just how bad they are on defense. Most teams go four wide and spread them out because the secondary is top five worst in the league. No reason to run if you are prolific (26th against the pass) and they are top five in yds allowed against the run but that is misleading as they are giving up 4.0 yds a pop. You can run on this defense. It's not just the secondary the linebackers stink with the exception of Bartu. The Jets can't spread them out but don't need to. The beauty of it is they can go two TE's and punish their LB's. Get a body on them and run screens and swing passes out of the back field and get them in the open field and of course use the TE. Smith led the league coming into this week with turnovers so we should see a very conservative offense, balanced play calling because if he turns it over 3 times they can't win but once and they can come out of here with a W. Jets are 29th in total points but middle of the pack in total yards, they're moving the chains just fine it's the TO's that are killing them, the Falcons defense won't stop them.
Is there any team more banged than the Falcons? Jets have no Holmes which hurts but pretty much healthy tonight and Hill should play. Falcons are banged up every where, White, Jackson ( running the ball may be an issue) too many names to list. The offensive line has major issues, the center Konz is getting pushed back consistently giving Ryan no room to step up in the pocket and throw. Both tackles Holmes and Trueblood are average and that's being kind. Even though the HC acts like a clown the bottom line is he's one of the best defensive minds on the planet. Every year the players change but the Jets are very stingy.
You can tell me the sharp play is a 1-3 team laying 10 and you could be right and they Jets may lose by 30 but that was a soft open imho. The best thing for us Jet backers is they got blown out last week, the perception is they'll get smoked with a team that needs the win. Not buying it. Falcons are a bad football team with major issues all over the field. You are what your record says you are and it's no accident they are 1-3. Yes I know the teams combined record of the teams they've lost to is something like 11-1 coming into the weekend but good teams find ways to win.
Too much value for me to ignore give me the Jets ML +400 .

I admire your confidence but asking Geno Smith to go into that crazy dome and come out with a win is a little farfetched IMO. Geno is very turnover prone like you said. I do like the points tho but dang Jets ML? Guess we've seen stranger things happen. GL

He just has to not turn the ball over. Jets win the turnover battle, they will probably win the game. Odds are, they probably won't win the turnover battle though.
2 keys are whether or not the Jets turn the ball over on offense and whether or not the Falcons convert in the red zone. I think the Falcons offense can move the ball with a quick passing game on the Jets, but they've struggled all season converting TDs in the red zone, and I don't think that will change tonight.
As a Jets fan, kind of feeling a heartbreaking loss tonight, something like 23-21 on a last second Bryant FG.

Trey I wouldn't call it confidence. I'm asking a 4-1 dog to win outright so it'll probably lose but it's the proper play long term if I'm reading it right. ATL backers are betting them at their apex something one should never do. All I keep reading is how they need the win so they'll blow them out. That's not a legit reason to bet on someone.
Took the Bucs today. Sure the numbers against Morton are ugly but he'll come out early if he gets hit. The spot may be too big for Wacha, gamblers don't want to believe the Bucs are for real.

I love betting against teams that are in a supposed have to win desperate situation, I have seen many of those teams out right lose through out the years. It's plausable the jets can win at those odds. The falcons seem to be in that kind of spot tonight........who know just a guess...........

if you bet the falcons, you are laying 10 on a 1-3 team with terrible D.
& the jets are simply a cursed franchise. Been that way all my life cept for when parcells was coach. even then, testaverde got hurt game 1 on the best team they ever had to compete.
but GL to anyone taking a chance on this sheot-sandwich.

What do you think of the prop bet for Powell over 67 rushing yards tonight?
I have not watched the Jets at all this season but it does seem as though they will get a chance to run the ball often just as long as their defense plays as well as most of us believe they should
