Last year the Pats opened their season on the road against the titans and won 34-13
in 2011 they opened their season on the road against the dolphins won 38-24.
In 2010 they beat the bengals 38-24.
This year again I can't see the Bills as a threat to the Patriots the first week.  First year head coach doug marrone with a first year rookie quarterback vs Tom Brady and bellichick.  This should be an easy win for the Patriots according to the trend the past 3 years with the pats and their easy schedule.

I have to imagine how hard it is for the Bills to adjust to a new coach, a new scheme, a new quarterback and new receivers all at once. as a result I say Patriots-7  cover without Hernandez and Gronk against this bills team.

Pats won't face anyone worth mentioning till week 4 vs ATL on the road.

100% Agree Pats got this.  I'm a little weary on over/unders cause I'm not that good with them but BOL.

I am on board 100%. Pats win easy, along with the colts. Love the teaser.

Maybe consider additional teaser with bucs. they play jets week 1.

Thanks drozanski honestly I see why Tampa could be a good play especially with revis and goldson now over there.  And let's face it Jets are terrible this year.  If bucks were at home hosting the Jets I'd take the bucks but because they are on the road I'm gonna play it safe with Colts and Pats Week 1.  BOL

Tampa's defense has improved but to me the jury is still out on Josh Freeman.

Lol wow! Im not betting on that jets/tampa game altogether. Are you gonna bet on buttfumble or freeman? To me its choosing the lesser of 2 evils. To put it quite candidly they both suck asss because they both make too many mental mistakes on the football field. Its a no-play for me.

Choosing between the lesser of two evils, or the lesser of two sub-par teams, is sometimes easier than picking between two great teams.

I see the bucs as an improving team, while the jets have little to no hope for success this year.  Yes, both stocks are valued low, but one is rising and one is falling.

I'd be careful. There's a Week 1 trend the past few years where the home divisional dog wins outright vs the division winner. Cowboys last year, Ravens year before that, and Chiefs the year before.

Pettine knows New England, plus it's very likely kolb will start.  I'd rather play the bills and the points than relying on Brady working with a lot of new players.  Their third down efficiency has to fall this year with some key player losses

Not true. Buffalo picked brady off 4 times at home in 2011 and won

Wow I never even considered Kolb starting.  I assumed EJ manuel would win the start against the Patriots.  You don't think the Patriots would be at a discount because of the aaron. hernandez murder charge and gronk being out?.

I remember that game Osirus. Pats did lose that game outright 31-34 but I think the over still covered.

Can't wait for the public to drive up the line for their precious Patriots. Bills +7 or higher and ML for me.

Hernandez and Gronk were/are solid athletes but the Patriots TE's are a product of their offense. Does Ben Watson ring a bell? Havent heard from the dude since he left NE and he did work for the Patriots. In fact, anyone whos playing TE for Brady will work just fine. I actually like the Pats defense in week 1 against the Bills. The Pats defense this year will be a son of a girl. BOL this season, Miami.

Not quite every year.  I can remember a season opener where the Bills won 41-0 or so.

It remains to be seen but the Jets could be worst team in NFL this year , if they are not worst they will be close to it. Bucs D will dominate this game and cant see why anyone would want to bet on Jets.
