Double
Demand better and you will get better but this is a bad pick from bad management that has run a bad franchise into the ground. They had a chance here and blew it.
Christian Ponder sucks, he just happens to play in front of the third best RB to ever touch the rock.

A black QB playing in Buffalo has success written all over it.

Good thing he never played in the SEC or else he'd get beating all the time like from Florida.

It is strange to me that it is the florida state qb that gets drafted "early"...Ponder now Manual...FSU IS DOING SOMETHING RIGHT

LOVE the Bills having 2 picks at

41 and 46....

nice Crop of exactly what they NEED

WR/TE  this is the deepest quality class i have seen in years ..Sort of Hope they take 2 WR/TE's in the next 4 picks ...

LB     Again MUST NEED for BILLS ...Starters and depth is needed with the new 3-4.... MInter and a Large cast of starters in the next 60 picks ..

OL     Word is they really Like their Tackles on the roster .. (4) ....OG could be filled with Levitre gone

Nobody else was gonna pick him up in the 1st round. FACT. Thats why it was terrible. Could have easily got him at 41 or 46....or traded down again and got more picks. Just a bad move all around.

The Bills management knows more than me? I seriously doubt it. At the very least I could walk in today and be just as good as who they got right now.

You really gonna pencil in Manuel as the starter? What if they draft someone in the 7th round that's better?

TRAIN, nobody cares what you think. Im a bills fan and like the pick. Yes I would have preferred them wait one more round but who cares.  That stuff doesn't matter. First round picks end up worse than 2nd and 3rd round picks all the time. It all evens out. It wasn't a great qb draft class but I think he was the best of them this year. He has all the tools to be very good. If he sucks?  Oh well its worth the shot

It was a waste of a 1st round pick. End of story. They could have easily traded that pick and got a couple more second and/or 3rd round picks and he would have still been there.....

Do you really follow another persons plays here?

I use this forum to fade the majority.

I also enjoy reading solid reasoning for backing or fading a team.

I will never follow another poster however, that means I am a weak minded fool who is too lazy to do his own work.

If the Bills block like they did for Fitzpatrick last season, Kevin Kolb will look like a Pro Bowler and people will again be wondering what the hell happened.

Anybody who defends this selection is a retard. He just might become a starting Qb in this league, but he'll never be a really good one. So wasting this high a pick on him is not only dumb. It's destructive. And I don;t care about "getting a second round pick" in the trade they made. That does not force you to make a horrible selection on a decent college QB.

EJ Manual and Julio Jones came out of high school the same year, and both were 5* recruits.  In fact Manual tried to use his 5* rating to lure Julio to FSU.  As a 5* recruit, Manual was pretty much a bust in his 5-year college career.  I have no reason to believe he won't be a bust in the NFL.

The Vikings were equally stupid for wasting a 12th overall pick on Christian Ponder.  The Vikings are going nowhere with Ponder under center.

The Bills entire draft was crap. Woods and Goodwin will never be big time players. Duke Johnson was their best pick.....

Maybe they administer a love potion in Tallahassee to visiting scouts which only works 1 in 32 times but when it does it's clearly effective...Ponder and Manuel obvious reaches in almost consecutive drafts. I'm going to stalk next year's starting QB at FSU and become his agent, easy money....

He reminds me of a friend that I grew up with. We always played on the same sports teams. From football to Basketball in high school.

He looked the part. Had the confidence. 6'2 200 pounds. They always made him the QB and the PG. Yet he was horrible.

Me at 5'7 wound up taking his starting spot on the football team and the basketball team.

He's still a good friend. But I always remember how people would look at him for his size and smoothness and thought he looked the part. Yet he stunk and wasn't better than me in any sport.

That what EJ reminds me of. He's the guy that looks the part but when it's time to make it happen he always folds.
