I'm a Cowboys fan and like this move. Sure the playoffs wins don't add up etc...but who else would the quarterback? This team won't win anything with Jones in charge but has been holes to fill. I give Romo a lot of credit. Sure he makes bone head plays but makes some unreal quality plays as well.

dallas has no cap space.  if they didn't pay romo, what would you expect them to do at qb?

I agree. What was their alternative?

Also people have to understand that Romo is actually a pretty good QB. He is not necessarily the problem. the team has flaws all over the place. What do you expect him to do?

If the team have so many flaws, why put all that money in one position? I don't speak English well enough to say all I have to say about Romo. I QB who loss the games he must win isn't good.

this is an espn problem.  you can't evaluate a deal without knowing how it affects a team's cap space, what the exact terms are and what the guaranteed money is in relation to what they would have had ti pay him anyway, and what the alternatives are in the market.

that being said, no one is saying it's an ideal situation but given the options, it probably isn't as bad as it sounds when you just look at the years and the figure.

55 guaranteed and from what I understand it immediately freed up 5 mil in cap space whereas prior to the signing they only had around 100K of free cap space.

Dallas will never win a superbowl with romo all he is, is a goat for jerry and jerry needs to let someone else run that team. Romo is not talented enough to win the BIG one, he lets pressure get to him in big games not sure when jerry will ever see that
