No word what for.  My guess is (hopefully) their first rounder and a conditional pick.  2nd rounder and something later in the draft more likely.

MN had not choice, unfortunately.  He wasn't ever going to play in MN again.

2013 first rounder and seventh rounder
2014 mid round pick (not sure if it's conditional or what)

Love this trade!

Harvin was relied on to do too much at Minnesota.

It was pretty much well known that he was on the outs with MN (Frazier).  That was never going to be repaired.  You can't have your WR trying to decide who is going to be the QB, etc.

Many were saying that they might be lucky to get a first rounder.  Now Seattle does have to pay him.

I just hope they don't sign M. Wallace....Ponder can't throw it far enough down the field.

Like it or not, Ponder is their guy for 2013.

Not sure how I feel about this move. Yeah, Harvin can be a game-changer but he's oft-injured & is a head case. I heard he wants a contract similar to what Detroit game Calvin Johnson............yeah right.

Maybe the change of scenery will change his attitude...........if so I think it's a good deal for Seattle. They weren't (likely) gonna get a talent like this with the 25th pick this year & they can still pick up a good OL or DL in the 2nd-3rd round.

MUGG-

I think P. Carroll will be good for him.  He almost has to fit in because it's a team on the come with some real talent.  However, they are going to have to pay him and his supposed expectations are crazy as you say.

Brandon Marshall only commanded two 3rd rounders.  S. Holmes...a 5th rounder.  A. Boldin....a 3rd and 4th rounder.

All in all, it's not bad for a player who wasn't going to go back to MN under any circumstances.

I hate trading him (as a Vikings fan) but honestly this is a good deal for the Vikings.  The Vikings took him fairly late first round and now they get a late first round and seventh round pick this year and a conditional pick next year not bad for a rent-a-player.  Minnesota has a lot of work for their passing game but with Harvin they have a lot of work with their passing game.  Perhaps Percy will be as good as the last Vikings WR that bolted for Seattle.  All I know is let the Seahawks are Superbowl bound hype machine start now.  Dream Team 2013 !

Well you know Pete recruited him at USC but choose Florida instead.  Percy was the #1 recruit coming out of high school so I am sure he knows how to handle a talent and head case like Percy.

Gosh, I hope when he doesn't get Megatron money, it doesn't effect his play. He's always been such and even keel, level headed guy...............

this is funny, although maybe not great for morale.

Randy Moss is available... He would most likely see as many balls as he did in SF.

Moss would give them 3 former wideouts from Minny (Burleson, and now Harvin)............

Wonder what Fran Tarkenton is doing? Could help Wilson on scramble drills..............

Saw where this deal hinges on being able to sign Harvin to a contract.......

If Harvin doesn't hold the hawks hostage, this could work out well........Rice was able to stay healthy & was a clutch performer at times..........there were also several times that he burned coverage but Wilson couldn't find him. He reminded me of the Rice of past in Minny. With Harvin on the field at the same time I could see Rice's #'s going up...............this could be pretty cool.

I thought it was on condition of him passing a physical?

This guy could be dynamite if they use him right. Carrol wanted this guy at USC back in the day, but signed with Florida. Gators had him all over the field, which is what Vikes did. 62 grabs in 9 games would be enough for most divas, not Percy (real tough football name, huh?).

Get some carries out of the backfield, and some kickoff returns (avg 33 yds last two years on 32 kr), and you have a guy you have to try and scheme for along with Wilson, not to mention Lynch. I have to believe the 49ers saw this trade, and decided on a p*ssing contest.

Actually, he is not oft-injured.  He missed 3 games total his first 2 years......played all 16 his 3rd year.....and obviously had issues this last year.  So in reality, he had 1 year where he was really affected by injuries.

Now the way he plays.....he certainly could be susceptible to future injuries.  But overall, he's been pretty durable for 4 years.  The guy does have balls of steel.

Vikings re-sign J. Simpson and J. Carlson agrees to re-structure his contract (I don't know why....5 million dollars for 8 catches and 43 yards seems reasonable to me).
