Wow! I hadn't thought about tha yet.. Good point... I almost got scared that we wouldn't see a Manning vs. Brady playoff match-up (which would be very dissapointing for any football fan).. But, in fact we  will very likely see NE vs DEN in the Divisional Rd... This is ideal for Houston fans..*Note to self: bet HOU this week @ INDY (IND already locked into the 5th seed) But wait... now we have the ChuckStrong Pagano factor..

But honestly, Texans are a shoe-in for the AFC Championship game! They'll be playing at Home, off a bye against either BAL.. we already saw how ugly that will get... CINCY.. Oh no, not a playoff rematch from last year (boooring)... or INDY, which would end a storybook season for the Colts.

AFC Championship: DEN over HOU

NFC Championship: SEA over SF

Superbowl XLVII: DEN over SEA

Houston is not the #1 seed for sure.  They can easily lose @ Indy and fall out of that spot.  Very possible for NE/DEN AFC championship game still

Yes, I am a homer.

Yes, it is amazing what these young QBS are doing this year.  I wish Wilson gets more credit, because he has far superior wins than Luck and RG3 this year.

BUT.....

The playoffs are a whole new animal.  I dont see either of these teams led by the young QBS making a splash this year(Wash, Indy, Sea or SF)

I was very worried about GB playing SF in the playoffs, but I think NE and Sea really exposed how to beat them.

GB is playing great football and getting healthier.  Rodgers is the best QB in the NFC, and they will get back to the Superbowl

As for the AFC, I think its a complete toss-up.  Cant go wrong backing any of those teams.  If NE plays Balt, Balt can beat them.  Heck, if Cinncy plays like they did Sunday, they can beat anyone.

This is going to be a great year for the playoffs.   Pretty much any team can win it

For me, NE is still the fave in the AFC.  Denver's hard to judge, because they keep winning, but it's been a soft schedule.

And Payton Manning's career playoff stats are thoroughly unimpressive.  Somewhere around Brett Favre's.

I also like Bellicheck in a chess match against Fox any day...

But it looks like one or the other of those in the AFC.  Everyone else is out.  Houston? A mirage. Baltimore? Flacco. Just, "Flacco."  This year's AFC is a great argument for making the wild card immune to conference.  Colts or Bengals wouldn't be .500 in NFC East, West, North, or probably South.

NFC?  Very wide open.  My Packers, starting to run the ball, getting Clay Matthews back...  much improved.

But our offensive line remains highly suspect.  Aaron Rodgers has been hit close to 100 times this year.

So Green Bay still struggles against physical teams...  like the NY Giants a couple weeks ago.

Giants may be out, but not SF, and not Seattle.  My fellow cheezeheads incensed about the terrible game-ending call forget that Seattle pushed us around for most of that game.

In other words, I see any of those three as a potential rep for the NFC...  and wouldn't count out the Redskins or (oh, yah) the Falcons.

Gun to my head?  49ers vs. Patriots.

But I sure hope it's Denver-GB.  All real Packer fans want revenge for, well you know...

I think you may want to look at it again.  If you are looking for a soft schedule check out Pats.

Not taking the time to look into it, but I think you are wrong....

If Indy wins and Balt loses, Indy moves to #4 and gets a home game....plus if they lose and Cinccy wins they drop to #6....

I could be wrong, but I believe they have alot to play for

Broncos is on fire ATM but I would like to point out that they haven't really beat a quality team this season. They lost to ATL, pats, Houston. I wouldn't say they are a lock for the Super Bowl but if they end up with home field advantage then it could happen!

You sir, are the one that is wrong.. the following seeds are set in stone.

(4) BAL, (5) IND, (6) CIN

It's pretty simple, those teams have Nothing to play for in week 17 (as far as playoff position).

Correct....I wasnt paying attention.

I was only looking at W/L and not paying attention to the divisions...

Colts cant pass balt even with a win cause balt is division winner...

Didnt realize Colts couldnt drop to #6 though and have Cinncy pass them

either Seattle or San Francisco will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl...

however, you are correct about the Broncos representing the AFC...

agreed -- the whole AFC is weak.

all I'm saying is, it's hard to judge how good Denver is...

when they were playing real teams, they were 3-3.  but that was early in the year, when P.M. was just getting back.

Now they've won a string of regular season games against weak opponents.  They're formidable, especially at home.

But it's hard for me to see, as the original poster said, that Denver is a "lock," and there is no alternative.

PM is aptly described as the "best regular season quarterback in history" for a reason. Check his Brett-Favre-esque (and that is not a compliment) playoff stats.

When the season started i had denver as the afc champs. I m still 70% leaning that way even though i think Baltimore might give them some trouble. I dont know about green bay. I m still thinking that the nfc champ will come out of the nfc east again

This might have already been said but, if the Colts win on Sunday everything changes and the NFL will have their dream matchups........

Manning vs Luck after he beats the Ravans, then they'll have their Brady vs Manning AFCC game.

I've got the updated odds to win the Super Bowl fresh up on my site. Broncos are in the lead at +350, Pats right behind at +400.

GB is the NFC favorite right now....

I cant believe 2 AFC teams are the favorite for the superbowl....

I hope the NFC is a dog in the superbowl....the AFC is terrible

Why are people acting like Seattle will win a road game in the playoffs?
