Money Management is key.  If only there was some sort of a tool, or an app that could do it for us!

Most degens around here have no concept of money management or how to properly wager on the market.  This guy has made a very solid effort to help educate those in need on this forum.  Haters are looking/expecting for someone to get hot and hit a ridiculous number of plays like 75-80%.  This does not happen over the long run.  People need to cap your own games and use solid money management and they will be better off in the long run.  Anyone can get hot over a period of several weeks.  It takes talent and the know how to show a profit over an entire season....GL with the rest of your plays this post season Mav....

this guy is spinning too much to tout his service. soon he will reveal his service if he maintains somewhat good record. if not, he will try again with a different email address.

99% of the touts are just marketers or sweet talkers like this guy who will make you forget that they are leaches who are trying to steal your money. only a few win long term.

if you want to know how to pick games, or manage money or actually win and make solid profit, look up statsmansports on google. thats all you need. i have never found anyone better than statsmansports.

"So, the first thing I do is eliminating the games I don't touch. I do that after checking the matchups on Covers, read the previews, interviews, look at the notes I took in past games of the teams and checking ATS columns. If Totals play attracts my attention - I check on the officials to see if there are any trends holding (MLB and NBA)"...

Huh?

I recognize the need for covers to educate the cattle into a herd like mentality towards Vegas. However please spare a thought for those of us that have been on this site for eons and can see straight through this shite...Now who in their right mind would be using Covers as their sole stream of information??A Covers driven thread would..And this is one if I have ever seen one..Is this a new breed of cattle dog?
As a question..Why is this in the NFL section and not the Strategies and know it all section?..As much as this may  not be touting, there is no doubt this is covers driven...No Sarah J Philips round these neck of the woods which I suppose is progress..Still I take offense to the degree that I came out of hibernation...Please place this thread in the appropriate section and let us muppets be...Well... Muppets..Ma-na-ma-na...

The problem with Houston is Gary Kubiak is way to conservative with his play calling. He plays not to lose and this type of strategy is not going  to do well for you against a Tom Brady and Bill Belichek led team. They will eat Houston alive again. Houston cannot play from behind and this game will have a similar result as the first game. Patriots score touchdowns and Gronkoski back is huge for the offense. The only team making field goals is going to be Houston its the Kubiak way.

There is; It's called a calculator.  I flat bet 2% of my bankroll on all bets.  No variance, no parlays, no teasers.  This is what finally took me from being a gambler to making consistent profits, month after month, for the past two years.

Thanks for posting your picks, kind words and your opinions. And "hate for nothing" posts as well. I appreciate them all and thank you for your time and effort doing that (special thanks for the hate posts as I realize how hard it must be to post while enduring the unstable mental condition you suffer from - kcindc02, bluephin, omalleys)

2% of total bankroll, is way too low of a wager to see a decent profit.

Please explain what you mean, in simple terms - you said that you bet 2% of your bankroll.. on all bets. I understood it to be as such :

1. Bankroll = $1,000
2. 2% = $20
3. Bet 4 games (you bet $80 in total)

  • Take Denver at -9.5 (win pays $38.18)
  • Take San Francisco at -3.0 (win pays $41.00)
  • Take Atlanta at -3.0 (win pays $41.00)
  • Take Houston at +10.0 (win pays 38.18)

4. You go 2 - 2 with your bets.  You win with Denver and San Francisco.  You lose with Atlanta and Houston.
5. $38.18 + 41.00 = $59.18  (down $0.82)  ...or you could be up $2 dollars if San Francisco and Atlanta win.

Not bad... if you go 2 - 2.  If you do better with your picks, you will be up, and vise versa.

I feel that betting 2% is kind of low.  But, I understand that keeping a consistent wager is key.

I am going on record with my picks:

7 pt Teaser - Denver -3 and Green Bay +10

Peyton Manning is $$money$$ and Green Bay is finally healthy and has some momentum and confidence from end of season.

Your thoughts Mavin?

The game in Denver features two great special teams, two great quarterbacks and two absolutely different offensive philosophies. While the Elway is a philosopher in Denver and Payton manning the executioner of those philosophies - Baltimore is more of  a two dimensional offense than absolutely dependent on Flacco. The game one became a garbage time in the fourth after the Broncos were up 31-3 only to win 34-17. Nothing much has changed since that game in Baltimore besides that the game is Denver and the Broncos just had a bye week. The Broncos will exploit their offensive prowess from the beginning of the game but might take the foot off the pedal later in a game. If we look at the last season's games at this stage - all the teams that won have covered the 1st quarter spread. That explains the mindset at those stages - get a mark from the beginning and then you can settle down and play the clock.
Final:
DENVER Broncos -3  First Quarter  (+100)   100$
