There is actually a good game on Thursday this week.
Tonight I like:
New Orleans Saints +3.5 (big play-5 units)
I think ATL is real. I think they can keep up with any team in this league for the most part and I think they have a lot of talent. But I do not believe they are a 10-1 team. They have played a lot of teams very close and honestly if it wasnt for a handful of IMO very lucky plays they would have a few more losses than they do. They have also had one of the easiest schedules this far with most of their opponents having below .500 records.
ATL is possibly going to be missing both of their CB's which is never good against drew brees and an offense like the Saints have. But wait, the Saints are very deflated after that loss last week right??Wrong. I have heard that argument and I dont buy it. Yes the loss sucked for them, but because of that loss this game is literally a must win for them to have any shot to make the playoffs now. I know it and the Saints know it. They will play tough.
Also, The Saints own ATL
Saints are 11-2 Last 13 vs ATL
Matt Ryan is 2-6 SU vs Saints
ATL is 1-3 Last 4 vs Saints
The Saints have a very under rated group of RB's with Thomas, Sproles, etc who combine average 4.8 YPC. That might explain why the Saints ran so well against Atlanta last time they played. With Atlanta giving up 5.1 YPC expect the game to happen tonight. And another thing, When the Saints where on the 3 game win streak I felt they were a bit over rated but now I feel that they are actually a bit under rated. Specifically their defense. Everyone has kinda forgot about them since they lost vs the 49ers, but that defense has really improved extremely quick and they are far from good but they are not horrible anymore either.
Besides, ATL airport workers egging the Saints bus can only add fuel to the fire. Idiots

You make it sound as if the Saints steamrolled the Falcons on the ground last game. Pierre carried the ball 5 times for 10 yards and if not for Ivory's one 56 yard scamper their total rushing yardage would have been right around 90 yards, 92 to be exact. They very well may cover or win, but don't count on an edge on the ground. If anything I give the Falcons the edge and expect to see a lot of run plays called early against the softest part of the Saints D. Don't think for a minute that Smith doesn't want to, and will try, to keep the ball out of Brees hands, and control the clock. BOL

The Saints are a more desperate team cuz their playoff hopes are on this game and that egging probably just motivated them even more.
Gonna take the more desperate and motivated team anyday
BOL kn0wn
So you're saying Atlanta isn't motivated for this game??? I beg to differ there!! All I've heard on this forum so far as the main reasoning for backing the Saints is they own the Falcons and I think that very reason will actually motivate the Falcons to no end!! If we've heard it a ton on here then don't you think the Falcons players know that?? Especially with the Falcons already going down once this year to the Saints.

This is what would scare me. Everyone thinks the Saints are more motivated, Atlanta always loses to the Saints. They hate the Saints. Their only loss is to the Saints. They're going to be up for this game.
I just see the Saints putting up yards. I was on the Falcons, but both corners being out scares me because I thought the Falcons would be more likely to cause turnovers at home than New Orleans. Now that may be less likely.
I just worry about this being a one score game late, and with the Saints history of winning this rivalry, I'm leaning towards taking the points, going against my initial lean of Atlanta.

I never said Atlanta isn't motivated ,their professional athletes, they should be motivated, I just feel New Orleans are the more desperate team and IMO give them the edge in the motivational aspect
Gotta go pee!

Well they were desperate last week too and lost by 10 points at home. I know it was against the 49ers but they looked like a team that is burnt out by trying to come back from such a 0-4 hole this year. Theirs a reason very few teams have made the playoffs after losing its first 4 games, it's tough to do physically and mentally.

Could not agree more with your assessment. Brees is going to egg their secondary, something he does very well against them especially in atlanta. In the 4th quarter expect to hear "Who Dat!" chants coming from the Georgia Dome, many a Saint fan makes the trip every year and represents.
atlanta does not have the 49ers front 7 and can be run on which has been established already in the Superdome.
301 Saints 31 (+3.5) 302 falcons 26 OVER 55
