NY Giants vs. Cincy

i need more information on this matchup before i decide how to proceed

 

the line opened at -5.5 with the giants favored but has now moved to -4

 

i haven't looked at the line sense last night though so it may be different by now

 

anyways.  what knowledge do you have that can help me decide who to bet with

2-16 ATS - Teams going into bye week playing teams not going into bye.

Also, Giants have a comfortable division lead.

NYG play their best football on the road.
Cincy hasn't beaten a team over .500 in the last two years.

Game opened at 6.0 and has since moved to 4.0 with 88% of the action on the NYG so it looks like a reverse line move with the wise guys taking CINCY early in the week but if the spread drifts lower they will buy back on the NYG. As the wiseguys say "I bet numbers not football teams."

Home teams on a three game home stand and have lost their first two games are ATS 23-16-1 in their third game.

This is a great spot to fade the G-men in my opinion.  It always seems to work the same way for New York.  They go through some struggles and just when everyone is ready to write them off, they catch on fire.  I suspect they will lose this one outright this week and then make some adjustments during their bye week and come back like gangbusters in the second half of the season.

what advantages does the bengals have over the g-men?  in dalton's second season he is on pace to throw for 22 interceptions, which would be nine more than in his rookie season.  he still has a good qb rating, but he is not accurate.

tied for first with chi bears with 17 ints is not shitty imo.   giants have been on natl tv more than any team this year and if you seen any of their games how could you not be impressed with the way their secondary steps in front of receivers for an interception?  schematically on defense, they have a recipe for success.

OK well I will tell you as a long time Giants fan, our secondary is OK at BEST count all the IT's you want, but many were gifts as oppopsed to great DB play.

We are also weak at MLB due to injury.

I think we win, but my team is not a team you ride or fade, you just never know when they are going to show up, it's a NY thing, I hate to say, we get over-confident sometimes and think we can just show up and win.
I have seen it for many years, nothing new. Win when we are supposed to lose and vice versa.

I usually take points when I can get them and hope I lose (or even better Giants win but don't cover) yeah, it's sick, but again, nothing new.

I don't disagree generally with what you said.
However, it's been my experience that good teams bounce back after tough losses. IMO, NYG are a good team.
Coming off a loss, I am also certain that they are NOT over-confident at this time, nor do they think they are just going to show up at Cincy and win.
Coughlin is a great coach and motivator and this goes back to the Jack days. He hates to lose, and his players will be ready this week...you can count on that.
Cincy had their chance again to finally beat a decent team last week, Denver. Now, they have to face an even better team IMO.
I don't give them much chance at all to get it done.

Cincy dee is a mess.  The Giants get up big but they don't play inspired defense when they get a lead.  They Giants seem to get their defensive dicks hard when the playoffs begin.  I fully expect the Giants to take a lead but Cincy to backdoor the cover or Cincy  out to a big lead and the Giants to rally like they did against TB and Cleveland.  The difference being Cincy will continue to score so I expect Cincy to cover.

You are right TomE good teams do bounce back, and we are good, but we are also a strange team when it comes to psyche.
You just never know with this team, we should have and could have easily beat the Steelers, we are better but I took the ML and the points for that game because I know better than to trust the Giants.
We just need to shut down Green, if we don't double him most of the day he will kill this secondary unless our front four decides to play like they can.
Our front four is the best in the game and I am NOT just saying that as a Giants fan, but again, they play when THEY want to play, so it is just tough to trust them also.

My take, Giants win no doubt.

Pure position play here, Giants -4. I liked it at -6 and i love it at -4. I bet the other side in the Giants game last week as they play like shit at home after a couple wins. Also Pitt is hot right now. Take the Giants -4, but also dont think Pitt who i was on last week against the Gmen will cover -12.5 even against the lowly chiefs.

The only information you need is how much money is in your account and whatever it is unload it all on the Giants -4. Are you kidding me this is like dejavu from last week when the Bengals played Denver. The same line and about the same amount of talent that outmatches the Bengals. This is the easiest play on the board
