Yeah, you're right. I ran it excluding the BYES and ...
Anyways, I like the way the STEELERS are rounding into form so I took them for a UNIT at +3.5 |

You seem to make these kind of mistakes a lot. I totally understand though considering you are not actually betting these large amounts on the games. GL anyway |

I assume you dont make mistakes when you are typing? With no edit button, this will happen more & more in this forum from anyone & everyone...............do I detect a bit of jealousy??
We all dont wager $50 or $100 on games, it wouldnt be worth my time or yours, since you couldnt complain in my thread..............
I recommend changing your screen name as well, it doesnt bode well for a man with a screen name like yours................. |

Yeah, it is time for the big boys to rise to the top. BR looking good and assimilating Haley's offense. Steelers not the best road crew but still think they will get it done. |

#136 Posted: 11/1/2012 1:33:37 AM Hey PTB, first time posting on one of your forums. Forget the haters I respect your picks and how you come to them. Oakland is giving 1.5 to Tampa this Sunday and it boggles my mind why Oakland is the favorite. I am really considering slamming on Tampa because I see no way that Oakland wins this game. Tampa destroyed Minnesota last week, their offense looks phenomenal. Any thoughts or comments for me NOT to lay my max bet? |

#138 Posted: 11/1/2012 1:47:26 AM Hey Prime
Great bounceback last week, Atl and Miami were bbbbeasts
Cowboys are atrocious
You mentioned home dogs covering this weekend, IM on board
I like the Colts in this spot, RG3 is a monster but dont sleep on Andrew luck...the boy has an arm and unlike RG3 has some receivers to catch his throws!
what you think? |

#140 Posted: 11/1/2012 2:51:55 AM How do you decide how much to put on the M.L. bets. Is it a percentage of your points line bet or does it just vary pending your feeling on the game?

Bach, anything can happen in these NFL games, as we all saw on that Monday night game between the Packers & Seattle..............
Imo, Tampa wins this game by 10 points..............as for you playing a max wager on Tampa, that is up to you & your financial wealth. If you can handle a loss of the kind of wager you are thinking of placing, go for it.............I myself dont think Tampa loses but Tampa isnt my best game of the week..............my best bets are the Steelers 1st & then the Eagles.....................
I have Tampa winning this week & surprisingly losing next week at home vs the Chargers..................
Good luck with whatever you choose to do..................... |

Is Nicks out? If so, that's a huge loss. Didn't they lose Joseph in preseason? |

Colts are coming off an awesome win in over time, im hoping it didnt take anything out of them since it was their 1st road win of the season. Kind of like when they won their 1st home game of the season & then lost the following week..................I think I may have jumped the gun with the Colts this week so be careful, its the least liked game for me this week.................
They also play next Thursday at Jacksonville so they will be having a short week...................Andrew Luck will win a super bowl before he retires but its still way too early & he is a great young Qb learning the system & will make mistakes.
Although I did wager on the Colts, I wouldnt recommend this game to anyone, like I said, I jumped the gun too early on this one................
Good luck with whatever you decide................. |

The Tampa play isnt so much of how well Tampa is playing, its more of how terrible the Raiders are & a play against them.................injuries dont really bother me in the NFL unless its the center or the main Qb of a team..........................teams in the NFL seem to rally around their injured teams.................except for the Ravens 2 weeks ago when they got waxed...................... |

When I cap a game, I cap to see if one team can beat the other, not can they cover so like the Steelers this week..............there is no doubt in my mind I know they can beat the Giants coming off an emotional win vs Dallas where they almost lost the game after a 2nd half meltdown.....................
As for how much to wager on the ML, I dont have a percentage. Last week I risked a dime to win over 3 dimes on the Panthers & a dime on the Panthers plus the points.............too bad the panthers lost by 1...............the smart thing would have been to wager a dime on the points & 30% or $300 on the Panthers ML because the line was so high.
When the line is 3 points or less, it doesnt usually matter because the spread comes into play only about 18% of the time but this year is an anomaly & the spread is coming into play over 30% I believe................ |

#148 Posted: 11/1/2012 1:04:18 PM I honestly think if you take away the amounts on games and not talk about your "roll" and money management - you won't get many people in your threads attacking the thread in whole.
IMO. |

#149 Posted: 11/1/2012 1:16:05 PM Gilmo, are you a follower or a leader?? If your wife/girlfriend jumped off a bridge, would you follow?
What im getting at is not everyone follows a money management plan like you or most others..............I toned down playing 10 or 15 k on one game because that will bankrupt anyone really quick. Spread the money around & if you have confidence in your plays, you will make money.............
As for the haters, they never bothered me................... in fact, I encourage a good debate when it comes to the NFL & betting, as for people hating on me because of my roll or what I wager..........well thats pure jealousy & misery loves company.......................& I would say 70% of covers fits that bill..................... |
