#29 Posted: 10/10/2012 1:22:27 PM Those are some great trends to bet against the steelers. Just shocked to see such a low number vs Titans. I would think they at least open it at -7. The line is screaming take Pitt. |

Ready for primetimePosted by Teresa Varley on September 6, 2012 – 6:25 pm The Steelers are no stranger to playing games in primetime, and as always players are pumped to be center stage when they travel to Denver for NBC’s Sunday Night Football this week. “You have to love it,” said Antonio Brown. “All of your peers are watching; all football fans are all watching. It doesn’t get any better than Sunday night. Everyone is watching. It doesn’t get any better than opening the season there.” And when the bright lights are on, everyone wants to shine. “You play the game for these big-time games,” said Emmanuel Sanders. “That is what we live for, everyone is watching and they are watching to see the Steelers win. “I have grown up on big time players doing big time things in big time games. Everybody wants to be that guy that makes the game winning catch on national television.” The Steelers have had success in primetime under Coach Mike Tomlin, with a 19-7 record, including 10-4 on the road and 8-5 on Sunday Night Football. ok.. and now a still impressive...19-8 soon to be 20-8 |

You know I can't take the Steelers, but I do see a whammy soon. DOG and UND has produced several 2-0 results and a couple 1-1's on Thurs, Sun, Mon nite gms. Since you are there....NO WHAMMIES!! I'm steering clear tonite. |

Just one concerning thing regarding the over. With Mendenhall back, the Steelers get even more potent in grinding out the clock. Just food for thought. I still think this game goes over as the Titans secondary D is pretty much non-existent and Steelers+Pass Rush will give enough time to Hasselbeck to throw to two good receivers in Britt and Washington. Add Jared Cook and a potential breakout game from CJ and you have yourself a pretty nice recipe for an over.
Steeler D, statistically, belongs in the top half of the league but that has to do more with their ability to convert on third downs and runout the clock. |
