since 2002 home favorites of 6-12 pts before their bye week are 52-12 ATS (Atlanta is on bye next week) - also the public might be scared to bet -9.5 after losing their money on Houston last night

I picked ATl on Covers but not sure if I will bet... I most likely am going to take the Falcons for a small wager bo.

Do we by chance know how many of those games were against a team coming off of their own bye week, and if so the ats results of those games?

Atlanta has been a beast at home over the past few years as well
- also the favorite for thursday night football has not come in last couple weeks - I think Pittsburgh -5.5 is a great play
- someone stated teams who win by blowouts back to back are 3-17ATS in the next game so - I am going Giants +5 - and I am also feeling the public still backing the Texans - but the Texans do not have great receivers and they lost Cushing - Foster is their main source for points and he runs so that is slow scoring. so I am going Green Bay+5
- 4 TEAM PARLAY
- PITTSBURGH -5.5, ATL-9.5, NYG+5, GREEN BAY +5
Good luck if you play it - I have been playing to many games so now I have a Rule to only play 4 games and im going to stick to that

With all the Packer's injuries I think they will need more than +5 against Houston.

Houston is overrated - gl with the pick though - if the packers take away foster houston's got nothing to score with - rodgers is gonna do the garbage I normally hate - the Qb bootleg - good luck though - Texans are do for a loss - they are really overated - I will be very surprised if the Texans win and cover against a desperate Arron Rodgers and green bay - without brian cushing no less

Texans are not overrated.  Best coaching in the league.  Best rush attack and arguably the best defense.  And a smart qb in Schaub.  Far from overrated.  Oh best blocking in the league and this one guy named Andre something???  What is it again???

Idk man, I have a gut feeling the Raiders keep this one close, I think this zone blocking scheme gets on track this week

Agree completely. Thought this line would be much higher. Vegas knows something here. Wouldn't at all shock me to see OAK win SU. GL everyone

Love the situation here...not sure if there are any stats for this situation where the underdog is coming off a bye.  However, Oak is 0-11 last 11 games after a bye week.

andre johnson had 1 catch against the Jets - the public like you mr.quija - is still very high on the Texans - im sure a lot of people will bet on the Texans with you - gl - easy - Atlanta has a great home record - Tony Gonzalez all day buds - julio jones - a confusing defense - carson palmer is oakland's qb - no way bud

The Texans coulda named the score last night. I was on the Jets and I'm thankful they didn't try to blow the Jets out...but make no mistake, this is a very good team...I think they will be very focused for the Packers and will bring it much more than they did for the lowly Jets last night...

I am using this sniping tool but I am having problems transferring it to the thread.  Does anyone have any experience with this that can help me out?

Atlanta defense is not so great against the run. If McFadden gets things going it could open the pass game for Palmer.

..was just about to say the same thing.  Atl 27th rush D.  It's probably a matter of time before McFadden has a breakout game..

my first thought when I saw the line was "upset of the day.."  stranger things have happened..

The Raiders have a major weakness in their secondary, so I can see big plays from Jones/White/Gonzalez.  I'd put the Raiders in the bottom 5 teams and the Falcons in the top 5 right now, so 8 or 9 points isn't too scary.
