4-10 (-9.15 units)

I took all of last week off, and yesterday after a horrid week 3 where I went 0-4, and dropped a little over 6 units. I sat back, and watched a little, and think I got a better read on things. So it's time to get back on the wagon just in time for MNF.

HOU (-8). 2 units

Before I even knew what the line was, I told myself I'd play HOU if was 10 or less. I got it at 8 today, and see that it fell from 9. I've also read quite a few threads where people are on the Jets, but with little reason why. I could be wrong here, but I think HOU DESTROYS the Jets tonight.

HOU is firing on all cylinders with their top notch defense and offense. With Revis out, Schaub should be able to throw the ball to Johnson & Daniels with some ease with a healthy mixture of Foster running the ball. What I like even more is that the HOU defense is going to shine brighter than a Dallas Cowboy star on Monday night. Sanchez has little to no weapons to work with, but that really won't matter much since the HOU front line will be on him in 2 seconds. If Rex decides to throw Tebow in at QB then so be it, as that momentary fad of a QB won't do much better.

If anyone has any good reason to back the Jets, I am all ears.

HOU in a rout with a 41-17 or 34-10 type of score.

Good luck with whichever side you choose tonight.

Couldn't agree with you more, Chris - I'm not even sure how the Jets score more than 10 points this evening.

That is what is great about football. Everything you said above is right. Just as Steelers fans made the same agrument before playing Denver in the playoffs last year as 8 point favourites. What happened the whole Denver team stood up and caused a huge upset.

Jets were embarrased last week. A New York team severely embarrassed given a change of retribution (against a team they have NEVER lost to) on a national stage against a unbeaten team. You talk about motivation! Sport has many different angles besides who has the better players.

Houston doesn't have the tradition to be getting this much love. They are a good team but they are not as good as everyone is making them out to be. Great situation for the Jets...

I have been watching Gary Kubiak since day one. He never seems to interested in really beating a team. He wants to get up by 10-14 points and go into the victory formation even if its the second quarter. It makes for a potential moose, but if the Jets are really bad then it won't matter.

Mack, I see your point, as dogs, regardless if a 1 or 15 point dog, always have a legit shot of covering, more so when at home, coming an embarrassing loss the before, and on MNF for the whole football world to pay attention to. All are good points, but the reason I am not going that rout is because I personally do not see the talent, leadership, or "fire in the belly" that I think the Jets need to cover tonight.

This is what I love about football, we can each have 2 completely different perspectives on the game, and neither of us will be incorrect. One of us will be on a losing & winning side of the wager tonight, but neither of our perspectives are wrong, we just gotta see how the game plays out. Good luck tonight sir

Gwood, I think you're right with that teaser. I have given up on teasers, as I always get bit in the behind. I love them, but they never hit for me. Good luck tonight.

Howzuk, Shimmer, Mak, let's get this one fellas.

Chris, I know this looks good on paper and I know if it quacks like a Duck.........etc. HOWEVER, Dog at home with points on Monday Night 76% cover! I know, what about the other 34%? Got me bro, I may screw the pooch on this one but give me the points and the under in this one.

az49erdog, I hear you man. The trends and percentages don't exactly back the Texans in tonight's spot, but I made my pick based on the match ups with these 2 teams. I just don't see much, if any talent on the Jets. I do think the line is spot on, as if this game were played in HOU, I think we'd see a line of 14-15. I think Kubiak is ready to push his team to the next level, and show the world just that on national tv. Good luck tonight with the Jets and under.

All trends point to Jets covering this game....but I just don't buy it.

If there is one thing I've noticed about Sanchez is when he gets down....he stays down or gets worse.  He's only good when his team is up.  And don't get me started on the foot fetish queen...i think the guy is a joke and won't be coaching the Jets past this season.  IMO

I have a lot of reasons why I'm on the Jets. Check out my thread. I know what you mean when people post picks with absolutely no logic or reasoning behind it. I saw a lot of that when Arizona played the Rams. Anyway GL. This is a tough game to call. Don't forget to check that out. Thoughts and suggestions welcome to all.

First and foremost I'd like to say congrats to all of the Jets backers last night. Job well done.

Watching the game last night, it looked like it could have gone either way, but in the end only W & L count, and last night was an L for me. Back to the grind next week.

Figgity, congrats on your win, but your posts are utterly useless. No reasoning to support a pick. I've seen touts with more reasoning than you provide. I'll never fault a man for his reasoning behind his pick, as that's what these forums are for.
