When his team is 0-4? Kind of self serving I think. Maybe I'm alone here. It is an impressive record I do get that.

it was also a game tying TD. So he's allowed to celebrate.

yeah, its friggin stupid.

and the only reason he is in position to get it tonight is because sean payton is an behind and ran the score up a lot last season.

it's definitely stupid. "Hey look at me, i broke a record and my team friggin sucks, but hey LOOK AT ME"

Sorry, no credit. garbage team, garbage city. There's a reason why katrina, isaac and the slew of upcoming hurricanes have made their way to this state.

True.  The Saints were bottom of the barrel before Brees arrived.

What is the team's record before this year? Or overall record during this streak? Give the guy some credit. He put NO on the map and brought it it's very first Lombardi trophy.

Just like when Cal Ripken brought Lou Gehrig's record. The game was stopped to acknowledge it. Same when Rickey Henderson broke Ty Cobbs all time stolen base record. It's standard operating procedure.

What celebrating? He bumped a few players like they always do and he took the ball shook a few hands and was done with it. Don't start acting like he is TO now he celebrated less than a minute and went on with the game.

So he got a TD in every game because Payton ran up the score? Is NO all of a sudden a running team that I don't know about?

Yeeaaaaahhhh I guess your right. I can see it. I'm sure the the NFL wants to celebrate it just as much as Brees does anyways.  I'm over my rant.

Unitas throwing for a TD 47 straight is like throwing for a TD in 75? maybe a 100? straight in todays game. The game has changed so much from 3 yards and a cloud of dust to the passing game we see today.

Hard to compare records from decades ago to today in any sport.

Absolutely. And it doesn't help with so many new rules against defenses these days. No real bump and run like those days. Breathe on a qb, and it's a whole new set of downs for the offenses, etc.
