#1 Posted: 9/20/2012 5:50:16 PM Giants win outright.......... Will some of you guys ever learn how to cap games?
I read things on this board like - "All Giant players are injured" - comments like that show how stupid most of you are when it comes to sports handicapping.
For those of you that want to win tonight take Gmen whatever your line is. Sit back and relax. Many reasons why Carolina will not win this game.
#1 reason is they have already blown their load by being able to play the Champs on Primetime.
Carolina is a good team yes, but they have a long way to go before they start knocking around champion teams on Primetime.
Anyway, don't bother responding to me because I only lay a smackdown on you girl every now and then.

#8 Posted: 9/20/2012 6:19:02 PM so your logic in capping this game is that because NYG are champions and it's a primtime game, they will win? |

#20 Posted: 9/20/2012 6:46:13 PM The NFL is often less about who the better team is but more about matchups, gameplans, momentum and certain spots for teams where that they are able to capitalize on. In my opinion the Nicks and Bradshaw injuries are basically irrelevant in tonights matchup. I would be on Carolina regardless because they have a significant advantage in this game situation.
We can all agree that Cam Newton is one of the most difficult players in the league to gameplan for. The Giants are coming off an extremely emotional game that they probably should have lost. They are playing on a short week in a bad spot because they have had zero time to prepare or install a gameplan. NFL players are total creatures of habit. After a game on Sunday the majority of players are banged up and trying to recover from the violence that just occured during the game. Monday is typically a film review day and Tuesday is a much needed day off and recovery day. With the Giants being the road team on a short week their mindset is already completely changed from previous weeks. They have no recovery time, they had to get on a plane and play a nationally televised game 4 days later thus taking them out of their comfort zone and puting them in a bad spot by not being able to recover or gameplan against one of the NFL's elite young QB's.
I truly believe the Giants are the better team but these are all professionals here and the better team doesn't always win in the NFL. Not to mention that the Giants will have TONS of public betting support as underdogs. Public dogs are typically a losing proposition.
Add that to the replacement refs and the fact that based on the stats so far, home teams clearly have an advantage. Too many things are going against the GMEN to win tonight. These are human beings not robots. It's hard to see the Giants being all that motivated tonight considering they are notoriously slow starters and have clearly got used to playing the under the radar team in the 2nd half of the season.
Give me Carolina - 2.5

#22 Posted: 9/20/2012 6:49:44 PM I had Giants to win SB last year @ 50/1 in week 13. Won 10k. I know a little about this team and they way they operate.
Giants win tonight by a minimum of 7 points. For all you Gmen backers don't worry Im not jinking anything. I am laying out the facts.
Tonights game will prove most of you dipshits no garbage about capping. Just like on Monday night when you were all on Broncos , all because of Peyton? Fools.
