Ultimately, I do a bunch of different things. No one single thingdetermines a pick.
I dont knowany sites that disclose "how much $" is being bet, though that wouldobviously be extremely useful. Sites, however, do reveal "# of bets."That being said, I dont know how reliable the information is, which is why Ilook at many different things in tandem, and look for things to line up acrossthe board in order to feel comfortable about a pick.
I pick gamesin NCAAF, NFL, and NBA. One of the first things I wrote in my NFL and NCAAFthreads is that I know very little about the teams. That said, I know the NBAfundamentally very well. So it's a completely different strategy, but at theend of the day, they essentially all have the same approach -- an identifiableedge?
But in termsof NFL and NCAAF, I have convinced myself that there is inherently somethingunique about the way the games can be analyzed. Considering the fact thatvegas/books post lines well ahead of time, i.e. at least one week - they arebasically accepting bets on individual games for multiple days at a time.Whereas, in NBA for example, you can expect lines to be posted the morning ofthe game itself. So, in other words, in football, you have a longer time frame toanalyze what's going on.
Ilook at many different sites but I also cant reveal my exact technique bc thenit loses its value. But as you can see, a lot of people think/use/considerusing a variation of the approach. So it's what you make of it and if you canfind a profitable strategy - can you systemize it? I think I've systemizedmine...Ultimately, I do a bunch of different things.
