OK People. I consider myself a pretty decent gambling man. But, I was looking at something this morning that has me puzzled. Perhaps, you can help.
Most places, a two-team parlay (-110's) will yield you 2.6x. Or, 1000 gets you 2600 dollars.
BUT, If you put in an IF-WIN bet:
Game 1 : Risking 1000 / 909 (-110)
Game 2 : Risking 1909 / 1735 (-110)
Winning both games shows a profit of $2644, or $44 more than the parlay wager, while never putting more than $1,000 at risk.
So, why would any of us play a parlay? Thoughts?
In an "If bet" you can't wager more on the 2nd game than you did on the first. Meaning you don't get to roll the profit from the first game into the 2nd part of the bet.....each bet must be equal or smaller than the previous...
