#1 Posted: 8/18/2012 12:35:30 PM NFL-X 11-4 (73%)
NFL Season 0-0 ( 0%)
NCAAF 0-0 (0%)
Last night was great for my units going 3-0 and my POW Jags covering easily and even winning outright.
Onto tonight.......I see a very decent card
BEARS -1 LARGE (10 units)
The fact this play is more units then my average 7 for a PS game is because the Bears got beat badly in Week 1 vs the Broncos, and at -3 favs. In my system this is what I call a cross check line trap. What that basically means is that Washingtons line is moving in their direction to suggest that they are the play. It gets bettors thinking that the Bears will choke yet again. I know RGIII will get some playing time and I am counting on it. Let's see how well the rookie does on the road this time but in the Windy City. Bears take this one big
Cowboys +3 (7 units)
Despite the injuries the Boys looked god awful vs the Raiders, and they knew it. I really think that put some things in perspective for them. I see a very different team playing this game. And I like that all the same they have not needed to leave California, they train in Oxnard, just played the Raiders, and now play thre Chargers. Plenty of time to get acclimated to what they need to do. I think the game vs the Raiders also gave me some good insight to how well the defense will be this year. Ryan has these guys playing very well, right up to the scrubs. This play is pure gut instinct on my behalf as a Sports bettor. BTW if you like totals this game should have a solid "UNDER" too. I am not a totals guy all but seldom. But Jason Garrett pretty much runs the same style of offense as Norv Turner having played the majority of his pro career under turner's offense. Of course a few things have tweaked since then but all the same I feel both defenses should be able to anticipate the other's offensive schemes having seen it all training camp long. I may make a play on this later, still debating.
RAMS +1 (7 units)
Most of you will think this line is a trap, It most certainly isn't. KC's defense under Romeo Crennel will flourish this year and Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is as good as they come, Not to mention assistant head coach Maurice Carthon and KC has a wealth of talent to coach these men. So the line respect has to be there. But Jeff Fisher is a solid coach and staff he has is also top shelf. This is going to be a tough hard fought game. I like the Rams simply because they got embarrased week 1 vs the Colts, and now that they are home is a perfect chance to redeem themselves and play solid ball. The Rams are stacked and that is way too much talent IMO to be getting points at home. So please it's not a trap, KC is a very good team, but I like the Rams to pull thru and win this guy late.

#6 Posted: 8/18/2012 1:09:07 PM I love the Bears tonite. Big play for me, too. However, you lost me in your write-up on the KC/StL game. Did you really say "The Rams are stacked", "They have way too much talent to be getting points at home", and "Jeff Fisher is a top shelf coach" all in the same paragraph ? Or were you just being facetious ?

Getty I am always serious when it comes to gambling and write-ups. I cap these games the way I see it. It's an objective opinion. Jeff Fisher is a solid coach, he's been in the league ummm how many years?? And yes the Rams have a ton of talent, young yes but all the way up the depth chart I like what I see. They will rebound from that loss to the Colts
On a more serious note when the darn is Covers going to get the damn Quote button to work??? |

#18 Posted: 8/18/2012 5:59:06 PM redbook,
Yes....The way it was explained to me is a a Cross Check Line Trap is in the simplest terms, a line that the public views as a trap line but is actually a true line. A true line is any line that is based off of public perception vs the strengths/weakness's of each team. The Rams +1 at home vs KC in the public perception may seem to be a trap, but it isnt. Which is why I love the Rams tonight. I hope i explained this well. It was confusing to me a long time ago when i first learned the term from a well known Sports capper, he was also a Banker so who knows if it's a true industry term or his own...lol...But I have heard of other cappers talk of it before so it must be a known factor in line/trap movements |

2-1 night.
Cowboys laid an egg in the 2nd half, Our offensive line looks atrocious. Oh well, Solid night yet again and I will take it. The Bears had me sweating a bit. But all the smame Washington had no business winning that game. lol
See you guys Sunday |
