CD, i expect a good playoffs out of AFC. We would probably see the rematch of Broncos/Texans, Broncos/Pats or even Pats/Texans.

Europa-
agreed.
My Donkeys look so good right now. That said, the fact is they have not played decent oppositon in a long time. I am unsure if the Ravens were ready today, as they are in turmoil.
The whole thing has a way of changing when the curtain opens and I am still looking for the team that just seems to be "rolling".
Do not count out the Bungles, they have a good O and D line and could make some noise with a little discipline.

actually I have won almost every week this year.
That said, gambling is a humbling experience and it could change in an instant.
I am not sure you are right about the Texans but I will say, it is possible. Texans will be the number one seed it looks like and that will be a tough road for the Pats but not impossible. Do not forget 2010 and the Jets........

As I have been saying, I believe the Texans held back something that game.
I may be wrong, we will most likely get a chance to find out.
Broncos Patriots are in line for the Divisional round right now, here in Denver

If anything it gives one "more value on Houston".

I'll bet Houston lays a beat-down on it's opponent next week................

Wasn't quite the beat-down I expected but considering Colts held Texans to 5 FG instead of TD's and Texans still cover the spread, yea, Texans will be just fine...........................................................

The one concern I had coming into the game was will the Texans match the Pats focus and intensity.

The Texans are sitting fat and sassy at 11-1, don't really need this game anywhere-near as much as the Pats who clearly would like a bye and the week off.

Looking back at history shows many times teams playing to clinch the no.1 seeds losing and then winning to gain the number 1 seed, this is nothing new.

Clearly from watching the game the Texans did not match the focus and intensity of the Pats.

The Pats did recieve a good deal of lucky breaks in the game that contributed to the lopsided score.

The 1st fumble which easily could have been recovered by the Texans, the fumble which bounced into the endzone and recovered for a TD by THE Pats

The bogus pass interference call against the Texans on a 3rd down which Gruden repeated said was uncatchable.

That was 3 scores that very well could not have happened on another day.

The Texans had dropped passes for 1st downs.

According to my meteric that looks at how much a team out-plays it's opponent on the field in the "key stat battles" which have a high correlation to winning football games and converts that to a margin of victory, the Pats should of won this game by 15.5 PTS only, not hardly the big blow-out game it appeared to be.

There was alot of luck in that 42-14 score, and I believe this luck will become evident in the weeks ahead as many here are now way, way, way over-reacting to this lopsided score.

When a team scores this far above their actual play they are fade material the follow week.

And by the way, this method has never produce a losing spread record over the entire season and is 22-13 ATS with fades this season.

Let the over-reactions begin...............................................................

OK, let's be honest here boys, all those who OVER-REACTED to the Pats beat-down on the Texans and thought the Pats were gods gift to the football world please stand-up  and put-on your square hats..........................................

Pats proved to be the fade my metric suggested they would be.

The 49ers out-played the Pats by more than the Pats out-played the Texans according to the metric, the final scores in those games was deceptive.

For the record, the fade  metric went a spectacular 6-0 ATS this week,  including the 49ers and were posted in the NFL contest on the site,  7-0 ATS total including all picks, which also included backing the Texans.

The fade metric now goes to 28-13 ATS on the season and has 7 picks this week, all picks will be available in the NFL contest later in the week..............................................................
