#1 Posted: 6/17/2012 4:17:30 PM He got his numbers put up running against Oakland,Kc and Denver whenever he would go up against a real team he would get 30 yards - one of the most overrated players ever - I remember the public always ready to bet on this guy but when he would play the steelers, patriots or any other real team he would suck. Cory Dillon was a 100 times bettor than this guy but if you ask the public they would say Tomlinson is a god

#3 Posted: 6/17/2012 6:52:11 PM LT is a first ballot Hall of Famer without question. I don't like the Chargers, don't really like LT's personality, and I hate the Jets.
That being said, its not even a debatable question. |

the best thing to do here is to let this thread die a quick death. it makes the previous, peyton manning will go to new england, thread look informative.

#8 Posted: 6/18/2012 1:34:52 AM ya no doubt yavapai tomlinson would also fake injury when he was getting shut out - he was a total girl running back - he would get 200 yards against oakland then maybe 11 yards against the steelers, patriots. ya didn't he start crying after the loss to the patriots in the playoffs. "Clock killin" Cory Dillon was way better he won a championship and was a true power back - of course most people thought LT was good but that's the same public who usually pick the games poorly. ok metalbill 50 times better than LT - LT sucks straight up and is a highly overrated back

#9 Posted: 6/18/2012 1:39:44 AM That was sick last year when I picked the Giants/Patriots to meet in the Superbowl at the start of the playoffs last year as I truly know the NFL - my Rams over the Saints in Regular season wasn't to shabby Either - anybody that thinks LT was good is the same people who only get 5 games right each week - were as I average 11-12.

#10 Posted: 6/18/2012 5:25:23 AM Malkin, I lived in San Diego CA, for 17 years, and LT was incredible, He put up big numbers against all except Baltimore, and who was able to put up great running numbers against Baltimore anyway? |

#11 Posted: 6/18/2012 8:05:14 AM I agree he looked really awesome against Oakland and KC and won the hearts of many, but true football fans know this guy was really a big DUD! He was known as a crybaby, and was always making excuses. He loved playing weak teams but when things were on the line like in the playoffs he was nowhere to be found. Do you ever remember him running over anybody? He was a lightweight back with some speed and that's it. There is no way he belongs in the hall of fame. I'd rather have a Jerome Bettis, Cory Dillon, Adrian Peterson,Barry Sanders. REAL POWER BACKS. LT in the hall of Fame is a Big Joke, if he wasn't in that weak behind division he wouldn't have that many yards

3000+ carries in the NFL is enough for anyone. Age has nothing to do with it. 3000 carries is like driving a car 800,000 miles. |

#14 Posted: 6/18/2012 11:24:58 AM LT was one of those rare players that stayed on top of his game for 9 years straight and then just lost the IT factor and declined immediatley.
He didnt gradually lose it over the years, It was Greatness and then Bam, its over. |

#17 Posted: 6/18/2012 11:08:21 PM LT was a class act and a great back. The fact that your gloating about previous successful nfl picks in my opinion indicates your looking for gratification, or at least something positive to "back your info" up since you seem to be quite the capper.
Truth be told malkin, for you to disregard a nfl vet's stats, good stats at that, and just claim it was only due to him playing bad teams is not very classy, or informed for that matter. Why do you care so much? Unless you loose sleep over this, I'm a little clueless on why you would even create this thread. Do you feel better about yourself knowing one person on this forum agrees with you?
LT, nor I, could care less about your opinion on that matter.

#22 Posted: 6/19/2012 10:42:06 PM Shaun Alexander is just like him -they both put up all those numbers against crappy teams and they both have 0 Superbowls - Alexander would also get 0 yards when he played teams out of his division - Joe Thornton in Hockey is the same as them - all those points and yards mean zippo when everything is on the line these guys are no where to be found - 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000 SUPERBOWL WINS - I only RESPECT guys that get it done when it counts because when it counts is all that REALLY MATTERS - I Bet you made the wrong bet everytime he played the Colts,Ravens,Pats or Steelers and he ended up getting negative yards - GIVE ME THE STATS AGAINST THOSE 4 TEAMS - YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE - SO WHAT HE RAN FOR 200+ YARDS AND 3 TOUCHDOWNS AGAINST THE RAIDERS AND YOU THINK HE"S AWESOME - YOU THINK THE NFC WEST AND AFC WEST HAS HAD QUALITY FOOTBALL FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS - THOSE ARE THE 2 WEAKEST DIVISIONS - OF COURSE ALEXANDER AND TOMLINSON HAD THOSE NUMBERS

Sanders never straight-armed anyone. He just gave them a juke move, and waited for the defender to fall down. |
