Panthers demoniated bucs last yr and late in the season, does football have some momemntum carry over from last yr?not sure how it usually works. SF was awful then amazing last yr. Not sure who is that team this yr. Could be bears or panthers., seems like bucs might finally beat them. Newton is so dominant. Touch choice. What u think?
Panther vs. bucs - newton's desire to win along with his teams ability to win makes this a no-brainer, i dont care how many ppl are on it...football is football...i think the panthers have the bucs number, plus the bucs are swithcing coaches again now they have a COLLEGE head coach, i resprect the guy but he's not pete c. or jim h.
i can see 49ers winning the game, love the fact moss going to green bay wk1 showing his behind or at least a decoy...+6 looks yummy. |

I am not going to disagree with you. But let me remind you that every team had the Buc's number later in the season, last year. They fell apart..
And, they will be a completely different team.. And a home dog +3 in their home opener ? I would never bet against a team like that. They did a great job in the draft but more importantly, the did awesome in acquiring free-agents
Last year they lost their # 1 pick DT McCoy for the last half of the season.
The unknowns makes this play too risky for me, and I am a Buc's fan.

#33 Posted: 6/5/2012 2:20:51 AM ne is a road favorite but as much as i hate to say this they are an
elite team they covered 6 out of 8 last year on the road the only too
they missed were @buffalo week 3 but the bills are in their division
and u play harder against your division and the bills were on a win
streak at the time and @ the steelers who have suffered many
defeats at the hands of ne so their always up for ne. To clarify I dont
mind backing elite teams with proven records on the road it's the
middle of the pack and the bottom feeders you gotta watch out for
but generally i'm going to try to avoid road favs all together this year.
Tennessee is the type of team that runs the ball well and plays
good defense(well it used to) if ne plays their game and runs the
score up quick there's no catching up for Tennessee if ne was
playing say green bay week 1 on the road then i'd be weary about
backing them but not an inferior team like tenesse

Lmao, I think they covered every bet after that! they did 6 in a row. How about that. Leave your emotions out of it. Every team has a bad game or 2 never bet based on 1 game. Always take the team as a whole and over the course of the season. |

Lions have a great chance to win and I think they will cover. But we will see our defense has not improved one bit yet our offense is just becoming insanely scary. 10 pts is a lot. Kinda like the over I see us putting up 30+ easy. |

#43 Posted: 6/11/2012 8:01:09 PM Why is everyone on St. Louis's person? I get the coaching staff change and all that, but they have yet to prove a single thing. While Detroit has proven to be a high scoring threat who can go head to head with any high caliber team and keep it close, if not win. I, for one, Don't consider St. Louis a high caliber team. Detroit outscored their opponents 50% of their wins last year were by 10 points or more (Chiefs 48-3, Bears 24-13, Broncos 45-10, Carolina 49-35, Chargers 38-10). Arguably all of those teams can produce more points (minus the broncos last year on any given day) then the rams.
I for one am going to bounce on the -9 spread, because I think this game will easily be covered and won by Detroit.

#45 Posted: 6/11/2012 8:19:52 PM Well not anyone directly in this thread, but it seems to me that a lot of people are not sold on Detroit covering the spread, and the st.louis will be a good team to compete this year from what I have read on this forum and others. Which is possible, but I can't see them coming close week 1...

I agree. .St. Louis is not going to win that game. Suh will be a huge problem for Bradford all game and offensive the r extremely deep.
They are goign to win the game for sure. |

Ya. I think the general public are not too worried about Detroit actually winning, it's the high spread that scares them. Which I have no idea why it would. The defense on both sides will be fresh and dying to play and get off to a good start. Thats a given, the only other known factor is that Detroit on paper, and based on last year has a way better offense.
Should be a good game regardless tho fellas

#48 Posted: 6/28/2012 3:28:30 AM Detroit for sure winning and more than likely laying DD at home. People act like this team cant consistently put up points. Stafford has proved to be a serious offensive threat. Megatron just got paid how much? Its going to be a very long day for the Rams. I see a 35-17 game but hey its still early. Suh might get locked up come preseason

Don you are a genius. Most of the Panthers improvements on Defense came via the Draft. The Defense is going to be a bit slow week 1. Missed coverages = TD in the NFL This is professional football. I love Cam Newton however there is tape on the guy. Not gonna surprise anyone. Home field advatage is big in the NFL. The Bucs understand they got beat twice by the Panthers. Its a division game too.
This line will move south of +3 like the over here as well |
