I can't believe this is even a question. Peyton Manning is one of the best quarterbacks of all-time. Peyton Manning runs his own practices and calls every play. Eli is great, but Peyton is still in another class..

I always thought Eli was overrated.  Wow did he prove me wrong.  The kid has got serious game.  Mentally and physically.

Tom Brady is now the overrated guy...

Eli is  better.  Peyton should have won the Super Bowl against New Orleans a few years ago.  Peyton also went a a long time before he could beat Brady and the Patriots in a meaningful game

Have to go with Eli.  The 4th Quarter TDs and Road Playoff Wins are too much too ignore.    Peyton wil always have the mega stats but if you asked me who I wanted for 1 big game, I would take Eli

On that note, New Orleans has to still be wondering what might have been, because they would have easily beaten the Giants in New Orleans. But credit the Giants, they made the plays when necessary and got hot at the right time..

Yeah it's their own fault though.  That inexcusable loss to the Rams cost them the number 2 seed.  and with the Giants beating the packers, they woulda had the g-men at their house. ( no way the niners compete with them in new orleans) for the nfc title game.  Then brees woulda had another super bowl title.  But all coulda woulda shoulda's

Anyone that says Eli is the better Manning is an absolute MORON.  Peyton is one of the 3 greatest QBs of ALL TIME.  Eli wasn't even top 3 THIS YEAR.  Gimme a break!!

first off, the colts GM or GMs who acquired all those POS teams should of been fired a long time ago.

You guys are so reactionary. This is by far his only great season since hes been a qb. He has talent around him that peyton never had. Peyton did more with less just like brady did. Ill believe it when i see another top 5 type season out of eli but im telling you hes not better than peyton just because hes won 2 rings.

people that say Eli is better than Peyton or Brady are a bunch of wannabe Sports fan, let alone Football fan. Peyton only has one ring and yet he is being talked in the same breadth as Montana,Marino, Unitas...you get the point. If Eli can take the Giants to the playoff next season convincingly, not barely and then play in the SB and then i might put him in my top 25.

its a knee jerk reaction world these days. peyton hasnt won a ring since 2006. should of fired polian sooner than this.

the product they put on the field is pathetic.

indy should of won when NO Saints won? ugh no. brees was better and NO Saints had the better game plan and trickery, let alone talent on the field. not many football fans could name one LB or secondary on the colts that year... the colts didnt even score a point in the fourth quarter.

Slow down with the "ifs" there my man. If my memory serves me correctly there aren't 25 qb's with 2 Superbowl rings. So "if" you don't have him in your top 25 then you really aren't much of a football fan. Don't hand me this crap about if Peyton would have had as much talent around him he could have done this or that. The fact is you play with the players around you and the teams set in front of you, for better or worse. And when you're good you don't have to make excuses and ask what if? I'm not even an Eli fan, but I have to respect him, because no matter if you call it luck or good fortune he got the job done. Peyton can 12-4 or 14-2 all he wants, but until he starts playing with some more conviction in the playoffs this isn't even an arguement anymore.

He isn't even one of the 3 best of the last 5 years, really. Try not to make such bold statements as someone being a moron and then make a comment that is very, very faulty. I'll give you the fact that a qb can get lucky and get one ring, but you're going to have to bring some convincing facts to the table that says he gets lucky twice.

^^^friggin spot on!  Anyone who considers Eli a better QB should ask themselves this question... "If this Giants team played an exact clone of themselves with Peyton at QB instead of Eli, who would win?"

Will you stop for a second and think about the two qb's that no bettor in their right mind would ever bet against. Peyton  and T Brady, were on another planet when it came to winning with their skills. I can honestly say that Peyton could beat his brother in anything, especially at QB. If my life was on the line and I had to choose between Peyton and eli to be my starting qb, I would choose Peyton all day long? I'm not even a big fan of any of those 3 qbs, I'm more a Montana,Elway,Marino,Favre kind of fan. I have grown to respect P.Manning and I am well aware of what he has done in is career. Don't forget which qb really makes his team great and not just lucky. P.Manning would school his brother like when they were younger. The fact that he won two super bowls does not make him a better qb, let's be real here.  The giants got lucky against a shity defense. I like the giants, but i'm not impressed by any of the nfl teams this year exept green bay and san fran.  Don't forget those two mistakes that the returner made for the niners. They were the better team and should have won that game, you can't argue the facts. Hope that nfl football gets better next season. Not the same as it used to be, but nothing realy is!

again, people like you are just wannabes, having more rings than the next QB doesn't make you any better. Dan Marino never won a SB but is regarded as one of the greatest QB of all time. For the short period of time that i have followed the NFL, i can honestly say that i am more of a fan than you are. Listen to yourself when you said this " Peyton can 12-4 or 14-2 all he wants, but until he starts playing with some more conviction in the playoffs this isn't even an arguement anymore."remdaddy21.I really don't need to elaborate, i'll leave it like that and hope that it will serve you as you learn more about the sport of Football.

Eli better than Peyton? Are you kidding?

Anybody remember all the way back to last year? When Eli threw 25 picks and lost 5 fumbles? That's 30 turnovers all by himself!

Hell, the Giants won 10 games last year. Are you calling 9-7 an improvement?

And of course, you cannot count out the luck factor. I'm not even gonna go with the Tyree catch; we've all seen guys catch it by pinning it to the side of their helmut, right?

But just consider:

Giants fumbled three times, and didn't lose one

First time they fumbled, Pats had 12 men on field

That clutch throw and catch in the 4th qtr? Before that hook-up with Mario Manningham, they were 0-9 on plays longer than 31 yards for the year.

And the Pats recievers did drop some balls. I'm sure that was Brady's fault
