IMO - Brady/Belichick are strong in the post season and despite the Giants having the Pats # this year in their lone matchup of 2011 and a SB where the Giants got to Brady and forced fumbles and inaccurate throws - I think this game falls in favor of the Pats. A lot has been stated around the defensive improvement with the Giants but don't believe that Belichick will play the same offensive game plan as the last two matchups. There will be extra blockers to chip Tuck and that D-line and there will be wrinkles in the game plan that take pressure off of the O-line protection that will give Brady the time he needs. I'm not saying that the Giants won't get to Brady but with added blockers - this will open up Aaron and Gronk to run wild. Let's face it - there isn't a defender on the Giants side that can stay with these two guys. You can bet that Chad Ocho Cinco will be running around as well as he's an un-used threat that is ready to break out. With Branch, Welker, and Johnson (add in Edelman) and then Gronk/Hernandez with a double threat backfield in Woodhead and BGE (maybe even add Ridley) - I just can't see the Pats losing their 3rd game to the Giants. The last game Gronk and Welker had 237yds combined. Look for more contribution from Johnson and Hernandez in this one.
Sure, Eli has just as many weapons in Manningham, Nicks, and Cruz going against a weak secondary of the Pats. The interior line for the Pats probably has the best chance at keeping the Giants at bay with Wilfork and company but Jacobs did run for 72yds and a score and that was w/o Bradshaw who's now at full strength.
I think both defenses succumb to the offensive firepower each team possess via the arm of each teams QB. I don't see a ball control game with ground and pound as both teams will be focused on exploiting the others achilles hill - which lies in the secondary.
